To be fair, if I was told someone was bleeding in the school restroom I would think that it was someone with a bloody nose. My 14 years get nose bleeds so easy it's ridiculous. It would have elicited a different response if they said someone was unconscious or lying of the floor in their blood. Specificity matters but yes it would have been best if the guard checked anyway.

For anyone curious about the circumstances, my parents had adopted a child and my whole world went to shit. She was about 6 years younger than me. One day I totally lost my temper and tried to smother her with a pillow. She fought like a wildcat, and it wasn't as fast and easy as in the movies. To this day, I don't think she knows I was trying to kill her that day. I really don't think kids at that age can really grasp the seriousness of violent crime. This kid reminds me of that guy who killed his college classmate for no reason. His psychologist said out of his 200 cases, he was the most dangerous. I do think this kid was just as dangerous- maybe it's the having no reason part that's so... off.
