Currently, i have more fun flying wings then quads. But i‘m still in the experimental and learning phase;) Somehow, These limited capabilties, constant speed and permanent correction in manual mode makes it so entertaining and relaxing at the same time

Agreed! I think wings are just inherently more relaxing. The constant corrections make even a normal cruise a lot more exciting than with quads!

Your should look up the races that FPVWRA did in places in Liberty University and Atlantic City. Alas things like covid has killed FPVWRA activates. Also if your looking for a wing racing sim have a look at wings-sim.

Looks fun. I haven't flown a wing since they made our 250 gram weight restriction in Canada and I went to digital video. I do miss fixed wings.

I’m not too familiar with the products in the world of wings yet, so I’d hate to recommend something I haven’t personally used! I’ll just say that if you have no experience flying planes, definitely do a simulator first! It’s a different beast than quads. But I do find FPV much easier than LOS with planes.

I think to be a great pilot, not just a good one, one should do freestyle and racing. There are things you will only learn in each specific one, that put together, will give you the best flight. Our group has been doing planes for about 2 years now, and more and more join all the time. The only issue I have with pusher wings, is how friggen loud they are. Def not for a relaxing day. Lol

Wish there were some wing racing events near me. There is one event every year close buy but its not a total racing event.

@@propabilityfpv North East USA. NEFPV Feat Meet is the closest event but that’s not until September if they are even able to do it this year. There is a quad group by me but other than that nothing that I am aware of
