Van Aert is one of the current cyclists that I have more personal admiration for, it is indisputable that being healthy he is one of the best in the world and has given us great moments in his career: tour de france 2022 was impressive almost every day doing something different, releasing pogacar in hautacam, winning 3 stages, in the stage of the pave saving vingegaard. I also remember before not being able to race the tour of flanders that season .Van aert was at a very high level , I also remember Cyclocross season 2021/22 in 10 races 9 wins.And personally it makes me very sad to see that someone of van Aert's talent is losing the best years of his sporting career because of everything that has happened to him. But in the end, what cycling sometimes gives you, cycling sometimes takes away from you.

I never have been a big fan of WvA, but his unlucky moments made me become a great fan of his. I guess lot of cycling fans probably feel this way and cheer for him even harder.

Wout is one of the most capable talented and skilled riders of our time.

MVA is an amazing rider, so rarely do we see a rider "doing it all", but unluckiest rider on earth? How about a cyclist getting shot by their brother-in-law and nearly dying the year after winning the TDF and while being the favorite to win the folllowing year? WVA's performance in the 2022 TDF still awes and inspires me when I go back and watch it again.

Yes indeed he could achieved much more if he didnt had so much bad luck ! all the negatieve comment will comme from dutch onsportive people ! ! They just dont wanna see this. The things Wout showed in the tour the france to support vingegaard are almost unhuman ! ! On his own Wout colored the tour the france. He even won a stage in the yellow jersey ! ! I like Wout a lot but also Mathieu because Mathieu is also a big champion ! Mathieu also had his bad luck in the past . I hope Mathieu can make his dream coms tru by winning the olympic mountenbike competition. They both amazing big champions

WVA is done IMO. He hasn’t won any big races in road cycling for almost 2 years now. His level seems to be declining unfortunately.

In 23 Roubaix he attacked when mvdp almost collided with the German guy and almost hit the deck. Wva attacked at that moment although the unwritten rules say you don't attack if your competitors are struggling.

He won three world champion titles in cyclo-cross because mvdp had several punctures in the contests or bad tire choice. Mvdp punctured 9 times in eight rounds, mvdp hit the ground in his world championship race last year, so stop talking about bad luck. I'd say that's pretty normal incidents.

Unlucky?! He’s been blessed with more luck than most who have ever straddled a bicycle. Crashes are justice for the injustice 😂
