I have a challenge for both of you guys, there’s being a problem with the camshafts having abnormal wear of the ktm duke 790/890 and is affecting many years and Ktm is not addressing the issue or at times not honoring the warranty. Please look into this matter.

My 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 RP camshafts are being replaced under warranty 😰

I've got an 803 which I am really happy with, and recently I traded a T120 for an 1100 Tribute pro, and Guys, I love it, the bike accelerates much livelier than the 803, also it looks so retro in the yellow, sorry to hear Ducati are discontinuing, but so happy that I have one ❤

Thanks for the news. A shame about the 1100 Scrambler as I'd hoped that, if the CR24I was actually produced, it would come with the 1100 motor. If Euro5+ has killed it off, then that's not going to happen. 😫

Here in south Africa our police are also on BMW RT's but I've recently noticed alot of them on gixxer 250's

Tim, do not be disheartened, I find that sportbike enthusiasts who actively avoid motorcycle racing content are generally doing so out of a desire to protect their ego (by turning a blind eye to evidence pointing to their own mediocrity). TT is the greatest show on earth!

Putting my hand up, I'd love an automatic bike. Daily riding to work, ducking down to the shops, make it as easy as possible, please. Manual mode for offroad and the twisties would be perfect.

I had Aa DCT AT in 2017 and got rid as I didn't like it at all. However I now have a paralysed left ankle so I guess I will have to look into one of these gear box options again. If Yam do a world raid T7 with a clutch and gear levered auto then I am on board.

I imagine the reason automatic gearbox are being introduced is due to the EU regulations requiring new vehicles have speed limiters fitted.

Regarding the automatic transmissions: is it possible that motorcycle manufacturers are trying to get consumers to feel more comfortable not having to manually shift gears in order to prep us all for the invasion of electric motorcycles? No shifting with electric bikes as far as I know?

Honda bikes have huge aftermarket and customization scene, especially the ones built in Thailand. Maybe not so much in the UK/EU.

I think the possible reason we’re seeing these automatic duel clutch bikes coming out is they want us to get us use to an electric bike with out gears. Lol

New generation are not used to manual shift, probably an automatic or similar could encourage the next gen to jump on board to motorcycling, if not it might end in many parts of the world 🤔

New tech is to draw in new customers. They don't need to sell tech to people who already know how to ride motorcycles. It's for the appearance that the Moto industry is cutting edge, and a "safe", and current thing to be a part of. I think the automatic stuff is great tbh, makes the whole sport feel way more accessible to a wider audience.

Regarding the automatic transmission : one in two Africa Twin is sold with DCT... And it has been growing with it's generation. So it makes sens other constructors are looking at it.

DCT is a good option for people with injuries to their left hand or leg, or older riders with arthritis.

The Scrambler 1100 is technical wise a downgrade compared to the straight competitors. It would be okay if the price was lower but It's not... Also if you have seen the bike in real life, everything from the frame, fueltank, headlight looks tiny compared to like a Nine T... Also in my opinion, at this price point a mono arm would have been logical.

Automatic motorcycles were aimed for the disabled, and the elderly. That was 40% of Honda's market. The reason it doesn't appeal to you and “seems to come out of nowhere„ is because you're neither of those things.
