The 800x is by far the most interesting thing to arrive in that world for some time, surprisingly the cost is the same as the Kove 450 rally - weird. Oh and the Chinese say KOVE - AY, but as we know and because we are English, we just say KOVE 🙂

Great vid, the 800X has a wet weight of 185 KG with a gallon of fuel. With a full tank, it weighs 191.5 KG

Nice shoutout to the Janus Gryffin. I myself have a 250 version and let me tell you all, it was so much fun taking it trough some mid to serious off roading. The 250 from my understanding was not developed to take it real off-roading and it did amazing. I know God helped me trough it a lot and also I will atest to how light the 250 is. In KG i think it is about 120ish or a little more. To me that was perfect for everything i wanted it or needed it to do.

If that KOVE 800X comes in at the proclaimed weight then it’s going to shake the adv market for sure 🍻

Question is where are they saving the weight? Look at the honda crf 300l people snapping the footpegs out the frames from small drops. Frames made of cheese

I'll never understand why so many go so excited about the off-road loop at the festival when we have so many amazing trails that are actually really amazing and challenging and offer a proper adventure. But I guess it's aimed at the majority of adv bike owners that rarely ever hit the proper trails we are so lucky to have in England and Wales

Tip for anyone who wants to see the bike used in the thumbnail, it's at the end of the video (standard thing to try get you to watch as much as possible). Great podcast and content nevertheless, love watching!

The Kove is 185kg is the wet weight, tried one today and very impressed, leaned it over a long way and it feels very light, quality looks very good. The importer in in Oxford.

Thought there'd be more mud. My first rain coat I bought was when I was in England. It was a sunny summer - mostly. The mud ruts looked good, but dried ruts filled with dust would be good too.

PLEASE get some bathroom scales and capture your first bike 'weigh in' on video 🙂| Thanks for the interesting content.

You have a much better choice than the Janus in the UK with CCM. Janus has an early 20th century retro style which looks interesting but the performance is limited because of that.

Change header and exhaust on the Tenere and its not far off weight of the kove. Only benefit with cove is saving money on the purchase price. I would be worried its all down hill after that. Give it 5 years and if the bikes and company have proved them self I would buy one.

Important for the decision between the T7 & Africa Twin is tubeless tires and cruise control (deal breakers for me if not on a dirt bike). Kove -dealerships, parts, longevity, warranty, reliability, all these need to be answered. Don't even use Kove in the same sentence as Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki or Yamaha.
@starseeddeluxeАй бұрын
6:30. You asked your guest why he preferred the Africa Twin and he spent a full minute talking about plastic rattling somewhere on a motorcycle that was never actually identified. Talk about a cryptic and confusing answer. So the Tenere rattles too much and feels nasty? Haha. Okay I'll keep listening to see if he can be a bit more specific. 😮

Another great episode guys, what do you think about MotoGP bikes not being present at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, i think is missed opportunity for promotion of motorcycle racing? Imagine today riders on old 2 stroke GP bikes ❤❤❤❤. Keep up with great work😊

I don't like the look of the BMW K1600, looks very generic. Then I don't like bikes where you can't see the motor or feel it shake, and I only have V twins. I have heard that the charge too much for services.

kove800x: 191kg wet weight guys
@xpllmmffАй бұрын
Based on a review from Chinese Motocycle influencer. This 185kg of Kove 800X is wet weight, fully fuelled up. In comparasion, the old KTM 790 ADV R weights 210kg in wet ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ibuDq9p5r9jYmqs.html )
@joshgoloАй бұрын
Where are they shaving the weight from? Does Kove have magic materials and design or just using less material making a less robust bike
@fcalin21Ай бұрын
Both are stupid concepts. Too heavy for off road and bad for the road.

i’m very wary about these Chinese bikes ..they are deliberately spamming the markets with these cheap bikes , deliberately undercutting other manufacturers with the sole intent in my paranoia to basically put the others out of business . then when they have no competitors then you will see what the true prices .

Americans are doing the same, everyone is doing the same. It's a valid business tactic. The questions is what we as consumers can do to make the most of it!

I wonder what Harley Davidson is trying to do? What is their scam? They charge so much that nobody can actually even sit on them at the dealer. Not many people can afford a $27,000 motorcycle.
@starseeddeluxeАй бұрын
So the Chinese companies are actually trying to build a properly priced product and they are charging a fair price instead of trying to scam people. Just like your cell phone. Patriot Mobile charges half as much for service but uses the exact same cell towers as Verizon and AT&T. Motorcycles have been historically over priced compared to cars. Because they contain only a fraction of components, and metal. Assembling a motorcycle on an assembly line requires a few bolts, it should only cost a fraction of a new car. The Chinese products will simply drive down prices and create a pricing war which is going to create a new Golden Age of motorcycling, like the late 1960's with the CB750 and the Hemi muscle cars with forged cranks and solid high nickel engine blocks for cheap.
