This video was absolutely phenomenal. Thank you. You covered everything that I am needing to know. I still have to learn more about eccentric movements and EMG amplitude but this helped me review the motor neuron

great lecture man. you nailed it. The only thing that would make this better is if you had the notes in the description box, otherwise, top-notch.

Thanks a lot for ur videos I'm doing my postgraduation in physiology in India. In the college that I'm studying in, they expect us to teach the undergraduates but they don't teach us anything... if not for such amazing physiology videos, I would be breaking my head figuring things out... thanks for making my studies easy n enjoyable... Got the final exam in April... God bless u for making these videos available to those needy for knowledge :-)

Nice video - it may be worth clarifying that a motor unit's innervation is homogenous in that the (alpha) motor neuron exclusively innervates one and only one type of extrafusal muscle fiber (S,FR, FF). Thus force is exponentially increased as each fiber type is de-polarized as their respective activation potential is reached by the voltage level of neural input - ref orderly recruitment of muscle fibers

I thought motor neurons come from Spinal cord and not Brain.
@lukakusekovic91852 жыл бұрын
Brain sends so-called upper motor neurons to the lower motor neurons in the spinal cord. Upper motor neurons stimulate lower motor neurons and lower motor neurons the stimulate skeletal muscle cells
