The Yamaha 9GT is actually the reason I bought my R1250GS. I know I know sounds crazy. I was more into HD bikes back in the day until my buddy bought himself a Tracer 9. I found out that motorcycles can be more comfortable upright and have a commanding posture on the road.
Now When I was riding I was in a riding position more like my motocross days. Soon after I moved to Australia and motorcycles were not a priority in that 4 years.
Later my same buddy sold that T9 and bought a Yamaha Super Tenere 1200. Now that baby was broad and rolled down the highway like a Mac truck. Planted and ready to take on whatever you throw at her.
A few years later we did a big trip to Portugal for my bachelor party and both got to experience the R1250GS. WOW! Our eyes were opened. My buddy loved the power and overall feel of the bike.
As soon as he got home he bought a GS.
A few years later I got the Tiger 800 and after 9 months I upgraded to GS

I like mine,I got it last summer end of April. I use it to commute to work everyday that is permitting. Ontario Canada.

This is one of the bikes people should try! Riding both GS and T9, T9 is just a lot of fun! Every time I am just happy to ride one. Congratulations on becoming a dad! Cheers!

Yamaha has done a great job with that Tracer 9 GT. The triple cross plane engine called Cp3, is a delight of a ride. The bike is a sport touring machine, and ir can give you lots of confidence and joy. The price for what is offered is very reasonable too. You’re absolutely right when you say that despite our different duties in life, we must do some of things that we know that are activities you need to have in order to be well balanced as a person and yes, if you have that little “guilty pleasure “, so it is not against no one, is something you do to please your self, yes it is 100% ok man!✌️✌️ Hope everything goes well with your gift from heaven, the child you and your wife are waiting, is a beautiful and important achievement in life. I agree on all points! Yamaha’s don’t even get mentioned much next to the GS or KTM, but man they are killer bikes and at a price everyone wants. I love their bikes and their reliability. Yes thank you for the kind words. She’s such a blessing and we are cherishing every moment. And sleeping when we can 😂. Ride safe!

I live in Germany near the border of the Netherlands, and the gas price is 1.83 euro per liter in Germany. It's even slightly higher in the Netherlands. Congraduation to be a father!! Ride safe:)

Thanks heaps for the best wishes. Yeah last night she didn’t fall asleep till 4am. That was a trip. I have been getting out every other day for little rides through the country. Right now we on on her schedule so will take some time like you said. Thank you for the kind words of encouragement

I live in California and just started riding about 3 months ago. I have a 3 year old daughter and a 1 year old boy. I still try to ride about twice a week after work, most days less than an hr ride. Just puts me in a better mood overall.

It’s like a road through a village, but you see these in the big cities also. Basically there’s a big light higher up that you can’t see in this camera angle. Because for some reason portugal puts the lights right on the line where u stop. So it’s not across the street, so u can’t see the big light when your close. So they put an extra small light down low.

🫢 that is insane! For an AT?! Wow I’m shocked. I’m the US or even in PT you can pick up a used AT for under 10k. Maybe import? Haha funny how people use blanket statements for countries, but somehow they never ask us!
