Man let me tell you what. Ive bought multiple top of the line mic's and no matter what as soon as i hit 60+mph i get the cracks and pops. I have a chin curtain, a nose guard, a foam cover on the mic and a deadcat on top. No interference anywhere and did a lot of research on placement. I swear if this works im going to be so happy and mad at the same time. What an ironic fix lol

I just rode one, delivering for a friend. I ride a '15 FJR 1300. I was very impressed with it. The engine is lively, it feels light and cruised 75-80mph for about 50 miles. Very capable bike, it is alittle buzzy being a 3 cylinder. All in all i like it.

Is it the same as 7 back protectors when not inflated or only when it inflates? Its not really clear. However, if you remove the back protector and it doesn't inflate suly that is a flaw. Other systems have a built in back protector. This is not overly clear, be interested to know your thoughts.
@AmericanAbroad1
@AmericanAbroad1 18 күн бұрын
Yeah it’s a big question. This vest does not have an integrated back protector. So it only gives protection inflated. I recently had this vest inflate randomly while I was riding down the road. It’s the first time in almost 2 year of my riding with it that it malfunctioned. Dainese is deciding now weather or not to warranty it. Which they should. I don’t want to pay $250 to redo the vest on a malfunction. When it inflated I thought I had been hit by a car from behind. Scared me so bad. I would say there are better options out there now for vests. I think alpinstar has a great one. Just make sure you get a vest that doesn’t have any monthly subscription. That’s why I chose this one. Happy hunting
@highestsprings
@highestsprings 16 күн бұрын
@@AmericanAbroad1 that is useful to know. Yes, I can't see that they would charge you if it went off by mistake. Maybe it's worth highlighting the outcome on KZfaq. The Turtle vests seem to be the best all-around package. Although in regards to subscription the furygan vests look like they are really coming on. I am not entirely convinced that that after servicing etc a non subscription costs any less. The biggest issue is if you want to sell the vest on, it wouldn't have the smart box with it. I guess you could just fit the smart vest over a back protector, or, get one with a tether.

It’s been done, but most people I speak to say it’s WAYYY to big. Great article here www.stromtrooper.com/threads/givi-trekker-outback-cases-48l-with-a-passenger.441596/ I wouldn’t do it. 48-37 is my jam. Honestly, when I travel I don’t even fill them up. It’s mostly to store my helmet, jacket, airbag vest, etc… when I get off the bike. Most of what I pack goes in a 40l dry bag that I sit on my passenger seat. Easy on- easy off. The dry bag also makes for a great backrest on longer rides. It’s become a rarity for me to use the top case. Hope this helps.

How do you feel about the rider ergonomics? I have a Tiger 800xc and looking for bigger bikes to get some more comfort, but at 1.88cm tall, everything i seat on seems too cramped compared to thhe tiger. How does the 1250gsa feels compares to the tiger for a tall person?

I totally get you. I felt that sometimes on the Tiger. Of course the newer Tigers felt more spacious to me. The 1250 GS and GSA of course are the same just with different tanks. They are luxury tourers. In the adventure segment the comfort is second to none. I found KTMS to always feel funny. They just don’t fit me well. That goes for their dirtbikes also. On long rides I can rest my legs on the boxer engine and stretch out for a bit.

Silly presentation. He presented it as though all Tiger 800's don't have any of the features he mentioned as his excuses for selling it. 1. Transition bike - he should have just gotten the bike he wanted to start with! 2 &4: No cruise control or ABS - he got an old bike. He didn't say what year it was, but it was first generation 2011-2014 - and he bought it in 2021 - which is likely why it was "cheap!" If he had gotten a 2nd gen Tiger 800, he could have had cruise control and ABS! 6. Brakes: 3rd Generation 2018-20 had Brembo brakes - should have gotten that. Regarding Spoked Wheels: He could have gotten the XC model from whatever year his bike was, and then he would have had spoked wheels. All the rest is non-sense. Comfort and handlebars could have easily been replaced if they were truly an issue. And RE: "front end not stable" - LOL! He presented the bike as though all Tiger 800's are lacking, and the same model year GS he was replacing it with was superior in all these ways. In reality he was probably upgrading to a more late model GS, and since he didn't even get the right model Tiger 800 for his needs, it's not really a fair presentation of the Tiger 800. Waste of time to watch
