Hey guys!
So it's Spider-Man 2 has a new leak, and this one is wild. Apparently We have a trailer for a cancel online multiplayer live service multiverse DLC, and it looks incredible! Let's dive into it!

I feel like they could still make a game like this but just make the online option a optional thing rather make it live service cuz most games have options if you want to play online or offline something like that but not in a live service format. But that's just how I feel I love the spider man games

Why not? Live service doesn’t always mean battle pass, usually live service keeps a game alive instead of getting old and repetitive

I think it all comes down to gameplay like keep the core Spider-Man gameplay and they could cook but making it live service and worrying too much about content for money and ruining gameplay is what I think makes these games fail like if Gotham Knights had Arkhams combat 1 to 1 not bullet sponge ,enemy levels mmo gameplay it would’ve been fun

I was totally against making spider-man 2 a co-op game but a mode dedicated just to co-op could’ve been really fun.

They probably started on the preproduction of this game after Miles's game, creating the concept art, and even this concept trailer just for it to be approved, but after the utter failure of Avengers and Gotham Knights someone pulled the plug on the project

That’s good I like that they scrapped it. 100% it was prolly gonna suck. Even though the concept the idea is awesome. The way they were prolly gonna execute it was gonna be trash, and they they were gonna milk us was gonna be trash. Cause all these live service release with zero content so they can inject it in later I’d just prefer the old style of shit. Release big game then like make me pay for an expansion with more stuff

The multiverse DLC was going to be its own game. Still, considering what we've learned from Spider-Man 2's development, it seems this was supposed to be part of the main game in some fashion, as only 10% of Tony Todd's venom, the dialogue was used in the game was most likely been repurposed for venom solo game. With every leak now, it's more prevalent that Spider-Man 2 was supposed to be a huge game and scale. Still, PlayStation interference most likely pushed developers to other projects that were not in the original vision of Spider-Man 2.

I would not play it solely on the fact that is a multi-player game with live service elements. They made the right call in cancelling it. Still, I can see it being successful so long as they do not make the same abysmal design and narrative choices that Rocksteady made with SSKTJL.

Tbh idk if this is 90% finished it kinda looks off and a lot of staff is just copy and pasted things from spider man 1,mm,2 or just recolored

bc it wasn’t this is literally something that was just being pitched to sony this trailer is a concept of what could have been that they created by just throwing in a bunch of assets from spider man 2 this was nowhere near being 90% done.
