Abby was changing the guest bed pillowcases, so i don't think she'd be kneeling. The autopsy found she had a bruised forehead & nose, so it was thought the first blow sent her to the floor, then the killer stood over her & straddled her to deliver the other blows. One blow missed her head & entered her neck, one blow glanced off her ear, the rest crushed her skull. She was found half under the bed, face down as if she'd tried to crawl away. She was pulled out & positioned between the bed & dresser for the photographs.

Abby was described as a short, fat woman at Lizzie's trial. I read that she weighed over 200 lbs. and was only 5'3". She must have eaten a lot of Johnny Cakes! 🥞
