Here's additional info I learned when I visited the house: 1. Lizzie was on morphine to help her cope with the deaths, which could have affected her memory. 2. Abby was 245 pounds, meaning Lizzie would've heard her fall unless she was in the basement. 3. Abby was standing in a position to see the killer. 4. One of the cuts on Abby's skull was 4 inches deep. This combined with her weight and the position of the body indicates the killer straddled her and was very strong. 5. Abby's skull had a coating found on new axes, which Andrew lacked.

@@erust9465 That's because Shane is an atheist. He doesnt believe in ghosts and shouldnt be forced to abide by rules that you and others set up. The reason he does the stuff he does isn't for views, it's to try and get a reaction out of creatures that don't exist. Unlike other ghost hunters, hes looking for actual solid proof as in a full on apparition or actual scratch marks on his body. As much as I like Ryan, anything that happens he usually chalks it up to ghosts. Shane is more logical, and us Shaniacs LIKE that he pisses off all you believers because we don't believe in this stuff. Literally nothing ever happens to them, ryan just gets spooked, and anything that does happen you can find a logical explanation for it. Dont watch it if you dont like it and if it triggers you, but dont assume that Shane believes in it and is just doing this stuff for funsies. Again, he's an atheist and doesnt go by "your rules".

Sliferslacker21 They act like idiots. And if not for views as you say, they aren’t believers, then why are they doing it. FOR VEIWS and MONEY! You can’t simply deny something you personally haven’t seen. It can’t be disproven either. There’s more scientific tools and evidence towards the existence, than not. My Dad always said “ Don’t be so arrogant that you render yourself ignorant. Humans have barely scratched the surface of knowledge, the more educated you are the more you realize how little you know.” I’m sure you and those 2 would’ve the flat earth believers had it not been proven. It has nothing to do with God, it’s got everything to do with energy, which has been proven doesn’t die, it changes. That’s science, not opinion. Obviously you’ve never seen or heard anything you couldn’t make a logical or educated explanation for. If you have you wouldn’t be defending them. They should make it clear they are being comedic. To the owners of these places. I’m sure there behinds wouldn’t get permission in many places, they’re simply disrespectful. Unless you are a person that thinks it’s ok to act like an idiot in cemeteries, irregardless of who you may insult. Maybe one day they will experience something, I didn’t see them with any kind of scientific equipment to measure anything, or photo or video. Who knows. I can say I have. So did my sisters and my Dad, who also is agnostic. Many times. And my Dad was the last guy who expected or believed in it. Nor did he want to admit it...till he had to. You can believe whatever you want. Personally, I think those two are insulting closed mined fools. If that’s their goal... they succeeded.

I like the theory that Lizzie and Maggie were in a romantic relationship. Like, maybe Maggie wasnt paid well because Lizzie's dad was a money pincher. And was a part of the killing with lizzie, she could say in her testimony that she was trying to fall asleep and saw lizzie in a unstained blue dress, but instead was in the red one. And then helped her change into the blue one after the fact before authorities showed up.

since true crime is over now, I've been going through and looking at some of my favorite true crime episodes. I feel like out of all of them, this has to be my favorite one. Not only do they "ghost hunt" and stay overnight, but they also go over the unsolved murder case of the Andrew and Abby Borden, thus making this somewhat of a supernatural AND true crime video and has all traditions into one video making it an absolute masterpiece in my opinion.

After listening to the last podcast cover the lizzy borden story and coming back to rewatch this it's very interesting to be able to see the full picture. Also, the hatchet head was never confirmed to be the murder weapon, it just had suspicious residue on it like it had been burned, but was also noticeably old and unlikely to be used as a weapon. The police were confirmed to lie again and again in this case trying desperately to pin SOMEBODY for the murders. It's a strange case cause it seems almost impossible for anyone but her to have done the killings, but also equally impossible for her to actually commit them as well. It all mainly comes down to blood.
@SpiderkillersInc2 жыл бұрын
My best guess is that some random mentally ill person came into the house and killed the father and step-mother. It’s honestly not impossible. I also find the sheer violence of the murders a sign of unrestrained... I don’t know what to say. Rage? Sadism? Nothing at all? It just feels a lot more compelling than Lizzie killing her father and stepmother that violently. Like seriously, why no planning on the murder?
@DragonKiller-nw2ju Жыл бұрын
I think there may be a new suspect to that list, and it's Paul Mueller. Paul Mueller immigrated from Germany to the US some time in the 1860s. According to Bill James, the author of the Man from the Train, Paul Mueller is a suspect in the 1897 murders of a different Massachusetts family. They were killed with an ax as well. I think it's possible due to the fact that the Lizzie Borden house isn't that far from the train tracks. Paul Mueller may have used the train tracks to travel in and out of the city. Paul Mueller was suspected of the infamous Vilisca Axe Murders. I think Meuller did it.

Lizzie and her uncle Morse could have conspired as well. He doesn't have a very solid alibi, he had the skills of a butcher and strength to create that much damage (the skulls were severely broken, and in a dress of that era, there is not a lot of mobility). Additionally, Lizzie clearly had motive to dislike the step-mother and she could've paid John Morse with money from her father's will.
@DragonKiller-nw2ju Жыл бұрын
Mmm, I don't know. It seems plausible. Failing livestock business could be a motive on top of the fact that Morse could've known that Borden didn't want anything to do with Emma and Lizzie. However, I think there may be a new suspect to that list, and it's Paul Mueller. Paul Mueller immigrated from Germany to the US some time in the 1860s. According to Bill James, the author of the Man from the Train, Paul Mueller is a suspect in the 1897 murders of a different Massachusetts family. They were killed with an ax as well.
