I hope he's found alive and well.....

I have read his journals, read many other books about him, and am not that impressed. Seems like a spoiled, entitled, petted baby. He was cruel to animals. Rode one of his horses to death (he loved racing up hill on the back of a horse), led the burros up treacherous trails to the point where they fell off. Beat his dog so badly the dog ran off and never came back. The dogs crime? Everett left his dinner on the ground while he went off for an hour or so and the hungry dog ate it. Lived off mommy and daddy and brothers money then criticized them for the way they lived- you know, like having jobs and paying their own way, unlike him. Mediocre painter, talented writer, not much else. Put his family thru hell on earth. And people romanticize him.
