This is a very real thing. However the focus seems to be on the women and menopause. But I've had 2 husbands, and both went through serious life changing midlife crisis that ended both marriages. I've seen it happen to other men as well. Men and women both need mental guidance through these life changes.

I think the mid life crisis is real. I can't speak for others, but for me, I have worked for 36 years and all we want to do is travel and enjoy life. We are stuck in jobs we would quit tomorrow if we could, but have never saved enough to be able to fund the life we want to lead. So we have to keep working until 65, maybe 62 if we are really lucky.. but it will be unlikely we will have the funds to travel full time. If we retire at 62, how do we pay for our healthcare which is one of the biggest costs? In my 50's I get new aches and pains and wonder what it will feel like waking up at 65 when I have retired? How long will I live to be able to enjoy my retirement? Will we have the money to do so? It is depressing that we have to work until a point where our health becomes an issue and may not have the money.. the desire to just quit now and have fun! .. but then we will run out of money in our 60's.. so yes, that brain dump is my thoughts and why midlife crisis is real..
