In Ancient Greek mythology, a pantheon of powerful gods controlled the universe. Their leader was Zeus, god of the sky and protector of gods and men. In Ancient Greece, Zeus was a hero, a father, and a judge, but what made Zeus such a compelling mythological figure wasn’t his strength, but the many trials that shaped Zeus’s character and his turbulent reign.

its just remarkable that humans 2500 years ago developed fiction that is so gripping and rich of epic stories, and that we can still recreate it and listen to it today! Those ancient cultures really were something!

these people were not trying to write fictional stories but rather they were trying their best to understand the true nature of reality. they came close i.e. an Uncreated being must exist for creation to exist. but their conclusions were obviously wrong especially how they defined God and how there can be many gods because we humans cannot arrive at the ultimate understanding of the fundamental reality of existence by ourselves and if there is a God, He has to tell us that. this is why God sent us the revelation, from the first human Adam, to Muhammad PBUH, God choose certain people with highest moral character and communicated with them and told them to convey His message to mankind. Quran is the preserved scripture from God we have today and it can be/has been verified. it contains the knowledge of the unseen reality, answers the most important questions of life and describes the human nature and morality that no human being can ever come up with. enlightenment thinkers' can't come close to what Islam describes as the perfect modal for human beings in this life.

These ancient stories and mythologies really interest me, and I find them fascinating, it also is intriguing that I find similarities within stories of different cultures throughout the world, for example in this video, the story of Zeus escaping his death as a baby reminds of the story of Moses and how he was saved from the Pharaoh and then later returned as an adult to overthrow the Pharaoh, it makes you wonder whether these different cultures and civilizations had some common ground for their stories and it's fascinating to read about. I'm glad I came across your channel, simple, short yet very informative and well made. Thank you for your effort!

I want to point out that there are two versions of what happened between Zeus and his father. According to the first version, after defeating Kronus Zeus emprisoned him and sent him to Tartarus. According to the second version, after defeating his father Zeus reconciled with him and sent him to rule the Isles of the Blessed. The second version is more plausible.

Another great video! Although there are many videos already explaining this mythological story, this is a great way to watch with all the sick animations and art (Most videos use pictures or videos from games and etc, very few use original animations/art, and very few could be so enjoyable to watch) Can't wait for this channel to hit 500k by the end of 2022!
