A lot of writers have missed a big opportunity for more things like this. The Hulk is one of the perfect characters that can fit in a variety of different genres from action to sci-fi and even horror and especially tragedy.

I never understood why the MCU doesn't go in these routes. Another hulk route that I love is the one when Bruce is inside of the hulk robot. The one where he's inside the actual head of a huge robot.

The Hulk in the MCU might have the same name but is most certainly not the same character. MCU Hulk is a shadow of the comic book version.

This is why he can defeat characters who are so much more powerful than he is. Today’s writers simply turn him into an invincible, unbeatable foe with power sets that don’t make any sense. When it comes to the Incredible Hulk and him, fighting people, writers, don’t understand that one of his most devastating attacks is the thunderclap. Because writers think it’s wonky, and don’t understand it, they don’t incorporate it. I would say from a scientific standpoint, the thunderclap is his most awesome weapon. Stronger than even him punching. Evidence of the power of sonic pressure waves of a thunderclap can be seen in the terrestrial formation of the planet earth itself. Sometime in the past, not only on earth, but across our solar system, various mountain rangers were formed by the very same principal as the incredible hulks thunderclap, I’ll be on a planetary scale versus his immediate local scale. Without going into the otherwise interesting take of Joe Bennett and Al Ewing’s in the immortal Hulk, their lack of understanding of this principal is further evidence of that Ning/power scale down they make for the character. The Hulk here is horrific here. At least, it is better for Hulk to freely turn back into Bruce again rather than breaking Bruce's mouth inside out. Bruce needs anger management so he can and will be in control of his Hulk without anger issues in the MCU.

With "Hulk" being my favorite Marvel character, I hate most Hulk fans, because they don't understand the characters (plural), and are Coco melon brains that want a one dimensional Green Hulk, never actually developing the character. Bruce and Green Hulk go through this same shit in the comics. Bruce, as Smart Hulk, is the merged form he takes prior to Secret Wars 84. It takes Bruce and Green Hulk decades to achieve their more powerful, forms, and require going through specific circumstances to have the capacity to be that powerful.
