The National Pilgrimage on Monday 27th August was a glorious occasion. The Principal Celebrant at the Mass was the Bishop of Blackburn, the Rt Revd Philip North and the Bishop of Oswestry presided at the Procession and Benediction in the afternoon. We were delighted to welcome His Eminence Archbishop Angaelos, Coptic Archbishop of London who preached a wonderfully inspiring sermon. We also said goodbye to Fr Kevin Smith as he prepares to leave the Shrine to return to parish ministry as Vicar of S. Augustine's Belvedere.
