What u mean by saying "us" and "we"? Everyone sees god in a different way. For me, baptised, against my will christian god is something bigger. I don't go to church, I don't pray. I'm simply aware of a higher power above. Religious "cults" are here to control us. Think wide.

Alan Watts was a cool cat. We need more people in the world like him today. Stand out. Don’t fit in. The only thing left for you to do in life is to work, eat, and rest. Even if you don’t have a 9-5 job- do something no matter how meaningless it may seem. There’s nothing more for you to do. Just live life. That is the meaning. Get to the point in your life where you can say- I seek nothing. I seek no place to be. I am at peace, and it is good. 👍

We can feel the presence of god... By mediating ,and praying and affirmation ,thus lifting our mind to the higher consciousness.... After trying so many times,at the age of 28 i felt the tremendous presence of god and i was shocked,and scared.. Not an easy task ...but i was lucky ,for a week i was in a state of joy,peace and love ,,so amazing feeling i couldn't believe my self.and concious level was raised..

My understanding of God wasn't achieved by that, it was by looking to the sky when I was being abused and cursed by born to my set family. God, is that which is achievable, or not. That's all that God is. God is achieved by power, not love or meditation.

I don't know what to say. This has put my life into perspective. As a person who has attempted to self-delete twice, I no longer feel a sense of hopelessness. I've never been religious, nor have I been one to pray; however, this video has made me feel entirely different. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the upload. But this hit me right in the gut bc its exactly how I feel about real spirituality and god. Ive never believed god was a being. That has never been a possibility to me. For most of my life I have hovered between "non religious theism", meaning I believed in God or a "higher power" but rejected all worldly religions, and made no attempts to define it, and agnostic atheism which means I am simply not sure if any God or higher power exists. So far this video seems to define "non religious theism" fairly well.

I once slipped into a mystical experience, long before I even knew who Alan Watts was, and this concept of the universe being the canvas of which things and life can exist was something I thought was a personal revelation of the universe. Now I know that i am not the only one who has experienced this revelation. Alan Watts is a wonderful teacher who is able to contextualize these things to the uninitiated. Do not search for answers you cannot find. Just because you can ask the question doesn't mean it has an answer. The Universe could know the same as you and it has been around for billions of years which is insignificant if you don't know if there's an end. The fact that nothing can't exist because nothing is something.

This statement is the reason why the question "Why is there something and not nothing?" asked by the religious folk is a stupid question. {Nothing} is not the opposite of {Something}, because {Nothing} itself is {Something}. {Something} has no opposites. What is the probability of picking a green ball in a bag full of only green balls? Its a 100% probability. What is the probability of the existence of {Something}, if {Something} is the only option? A 100% probability. So when a religious person asks me, "Why is there something, and not nothing?" Answer is: {Something} exists, because "Nothing" does not. None have ever understood this answer.

Alan Watts to me has always been the very best spiritual teacher/philosopher of all time. From the moment I first heard one of his lectures It never occurred to that he ever passed away. & Whenever I listen to him, I can feel that he teaches from eternity and through his great lectures does he still live on strong. The level of insight I get from this man I haven't gotten anywhere else in my life so far from anyone. What I haven't done yet is find all his teachings in full that aren't heavily edited or monetized. All people deserve to hear him speak freely. 💯

i had a similar experience. i fell in love with his speeches. listened every day for six months before finding out that he had passed away years ago. i literally mourned his death as if it had just happened.

I watch these stories everyday. I had out of body experiences. When I died I saw a beautiful place. It was like a city on the clouds. Big white tall buildings, golden glowing city. Everything was perfect white and gold. But it was a momentum experience. I was murdered, that’s why these visions appeared … but I came back into my body. When it comes feeling the light and love, that was a different experience that I had. At that time I was alive, praying 🙏 when I was praying I felt beautiful supernatural warmth. I felt so much warmth and light. Freedom, it felt like there were windows opening in the sky, it felt like there was no darkness, only love and light. It felt safety, protection… I had many paranormal experiences in my life

The inference here could be that he was saying we're ALL sons of god. Or just god. Psalm 82:6 - Jesus: "I have said, ye are gods." If he had said this "Son of god" stuff in Hindu-India they would have replied, "Duh. Welcome aboard." We are all god, pretending we are not.

Wow. How have I not heard this one yet. What an amazing piece. I liked Alan’s use of the word atheism. It was not the formal usage he admitted. It wasn’t about a lacking or denying of a supernatural inclination, but rather with a “profoundly natural” inclination, and in that sense “religious”. I also like where he said “I advocate for atheism in the name of god”. … “and you see that is not atheism in the formal sense of the word. It is that which you can't put your finger on. That which always escapes you. That which is completely elusive.the blank. Seems to be absolutely necessary for there to be anything whatsoever. behind the father image, behind the mother image, behind the image of light inaccessible and behind the image of profound and abysmal darkness there's something else which we can't conceive of at all. Consciousness for example. Nobody can imagine what consciousness is.” … “Dionysius the Areopagite called it the luminous darkness. Nagarjuna called it Sunyata, the void. Shankara called it Brahman. That of which nothing at all can be said, Neti Neti. Beyond all conception whatsoever. For millennia, connotations of the word "God" have become so deteriorated. The terms Consciousness / Mind / Intelligence seem more relevant for these types of discussions. It seems that the concept of God is not experimentally testable. However, evidence for the effects of Consciousness / Mind / Intelligence are scientifically demonstrable. The illogical, irrational, and unreasonable position of claiming that there is No Universal Mind / Consciousness / Intelligence (i.e. Atheism): The fallacy is the assumption that something is true (i.e. Universal Mind / Consciousness / Intelligence does not exist) unless proven otherwise. The Claimant making a negative claim (i.e. Universal Mind / Consciousness / Intelligence does not exist) cannot logically, rationally, and reasonably prove nonexistence. Because, for a Claimant to know that X does not exist would require the Claimant to possess 100% knowledge of all things with 100% certainty and 100% accuracy (i.e. omniscience). Even mainstream secular scientists claim that approx. 95% of the Universe is still unknown (i.e. Dark Energy and Dark Matter). Of the remaining 5% of the Universe, only 0.0035% exists within the visible light spectrum which the human eye is capable of observing. Moreover, of all that is made of atoms and capable of being observed in this "Material" universe, 99.999999999% is actually empty space (Note: Scientists now believe that empty space is actually filled with "theoretical" Quantum or Vacuum Fluctuations. _"Vacuum fluctuations appear as virtual (i.e. non-material) particles, which are always created in particle-antiparticle pairs. People Annalise, worry and rejoice in death, yet we were dead for a billion years before we were born. Didn't seem to bother us that much. But this is the life we have and you should make the most out of it. You can't do that until you realize this is the life you got. When you die everything that was in your life becomes trivial. All the worries all the fortune and all the love is gone. Doesn't mean that it's not anywhere, you just don't have it in this life anymore. We are not sure if we'll ever again. When I was young my father told me to make sure my memories are good, because that's all I'm taken

Few years ago i had an overdose on drug but ambulance got there fast when my family found me like that so they brought me back. Maybe its all hallucinations idk. But i saw the other side. Everything is you. Anything you see is yourself. Imagine a kid is playing with toys he gives each and every doll a name a character a story, that kid is you and so are the dolls. God is you and you are god. Me, you and my cat are all the same thing just in different bodies experiencing a different part of life. Its that simple.

Although I didn't have a near death experience, and had not taken any drugs. I had the same experience as you, about 40 years ago. It may have only lasted a second or two, but it was so profound.

He's a sellout ! For 30 or so years he talked about & wrote books about the Holy Trinity ! One gets Cancaled talking about God ! He needs to stay relevant & make money ! To be a Christian is to lift the veil - open the 3rd eye . If people would approach the Holy Bible as the ultimate grimour & study it from those terms , one would understand it better . It was wonderful experience watching your first every video Alan. And the way you have explained your understanding is making sense to me. In fact, I would like to add couple of thoughts for the benefit of viewers and readers here. Hindu Vaidik philosophy says that God is a matter of Experience and self realization. And Adiguru Shankaracharya had given a term 'Ahum Bramhasmi" (I am the God). Now the point is, can any religion or philosophy help us experience God in real sense? And here, probably India can help to the world. I can suggest a simple method to experience God within and in no time in fact. I have been practicing that method since September 2017 and have experienced God within. The same way anyone who is reading here can also experience. This method requires two tasks from a practitioner - 1. Mental chanting of a divine mantra 'KLING KREESHN KLING' as much as possible, without moving your tongue and lips, 2. Sitting for meditation for 15 minutes in morning and evening. Make sure you do not do meditation just after the meals. In that meditation you just have to look at the picture of Gurudev Siyag (who has given this divine mantra to the humanity) for a minute with open eyes, , and then closing the eyes and focusing on the third eye area, and then requesting the same picture with closed eyes to keep you in meditation for 15 minutes. Then start doing mental chanting of the divine mantra KLING KREESHN KLING for 15 minutes. You will realize that your Kundalini is awakened and it will take control of your mind, body, brain and breath and you may feel involuntary movements in your body during the meditation. Hence, let these happen, as these will automatically stop exactly within 15 minutes. Now, Kundalini is a universal consciousness and is in a dormant position in every human being. Unless that kundalini is awakened, we can't experience God or can't see our own soul. Give it a try and am sure during meditation, many of you will see the actual past where Jesus was giving all these instructions to his disciples and what he told about the day of Judgement. This vision has been experienced by many practitioners of Guru Siyag, no matter they are jews, Muslims or Buddhists. This is a pure science and you don't need to follow any belief system as we follow in our respective religions. This Kundalini awakening will happen instant, and I must tell that if you have read this content till now, your kundalini is awakened. You just need to give it a try and be objective! God is a word, created by man to help understand what it is we are and experiencing. What we experience (to me) is god in all aspects from our survival to our enjoyment our falls and our rises. Throughout many experiences we eventually learn so that we can self realize that we are a reflection of creation or God as to evolve not only our egos but our consciousness. The growth or evolution of “us” reflects to the growth of Creation throughout the all. The creator or creation if we apply as above so below (to me) results in the two that is one, whether that be male/female, positive/negative, north/south etc etc. Your choice of “words”.
