i am not aware of other religious books..however as far as Vedas are concerned, they are not testament. They are guide to understand life and beyond. Not some judgemantal book that one have to follow. As far why divinity comes into the pucture for vedas...well just read them along with upanishads and surya siddhanta once with understanding..given the accuracy of some fact mentioned so far back that too dated back as far we discovered in text..while it exists when communicated by sruti (listening) much before that when writing was not existed. As far as spirituality concerns in Sanatan dharma...it has nothing to do with any religion. Its one experience and realization and not by any scientific tool or by some group or individual own thought or likings. We say you dont have to read any such books...just realization by a path that you choose that enables you to underatand urself and beyond is what matters.This is what fundamental of sanatan spuritualism is all about. How you can know follow and achieve..well thats a topic of another discusion!!

Oi. I can only say he sound like the old sayings with a new twist. Probably like a person who saw clarity as maybe the Jesus did in a time of darkness into which we have not really ever gotten out of.

One day mankind will find out who created universe what is beyond universe that day God will die and with that all religion.........the same which happened to mankind when someone proved earth is round and not flat ....heaven and hell was created when mankind thought earth was flat beyond the clouds in the sky is the heaven and under the earth on the otherside is the hell ...but when mankind knew there is unlimited space beyond sky where sun moon stars reside ...heaven in sky became absurd ....when mankind knew earth was round and there is no world under the earth then hell became absurd ....likewise one day mankind will know how universe exists ...all religion will become absurd .....well for me I concentrate more on my life and my surroundings and my family and friends.....and I have stopped asking existence of god because it has nothing to do with me .....its a waste of time nad energy ....when I lay on my deathbed I want to be satisfied with how I have lived rather than where I will go after death ....what is important is how we live ....

I have never understood how anybody could believe in god.! Even as a child I remember thinking this is a load of make believe with a silly story!!

Many people experience some kind of metaphysical entity or phenomenon. We are all connected to the source and cannot exist seperately which is why we are not gods and there is only one. Thus, it is inevitable for anyone focusing his existance on this oneness not to feel the things along the way to him. However you cannot compare these experiences with what the prophets experience. They were direct adressee of the word of God while the rest were receiving messages from what they experience and it does not have to be from the Originator. Actually, these ones can result from even evil entities because they are located at the higher creation layer and when we open ourselves to the higher understanding, we may easily run into higher realms that are home to such entities whose even lowest level bodies are located in this higher realm. They can reflect upon us love and compassion and we cannot see that they were nowhere near compassion and were deceiving us because we have no idea of this upper structure. Of course it doesnot have to be evil and can be from some 'good' ones, but still the outcome of our experience is most probably incomplete and is only a very small part of what must be collected to see the whole picture. That is why we believe in the prophets but not Ramana Maharshi.

Let me share my story. I saw a very bright flash, then I was in a field of slow rolling hills...all covered with this extra green grass that almost radiated it's own light. Dotted around the area were these well manicured trees and around where people.....People seemingly in a picknick....younger people talking to older people in groups of three or four. Then I saw my grandmother and grandfather who had died and I started to talk to them but then I saw my mother and my father.....but there was a problem, they were still alive at the time, so even then I though to myself that there was something very wrong because of that.......Then I woke up. I was giving blood and I had passed out. I asked the nurse how long had it been....she said about a second or two but to me it felt like an hour or 45 minutes......so take these stories with a grain of salt, the mind is the most powerful thing we know about and it can create things out of nothing.
