Depends. I believe most Compacts have the plug on the right side of the gun. You can remove the plug. You just need to buy the matching set of ambi slide stops though. My CC came with the stealth set, and that is not ambi. The standard slide stop is.@@toddcutter8277

I have heard that the regular px4 9mm compact and the Langdon tactical version of the px4 compact (9mm) have always had that thicker .40 barrel that was drilled for 9mm, but the thicker barrel was just recently released for full-size px4 (9mm) as the px4 g-sd model. Apparently the compact 9mm px4 always came with that thicker barrel. However this information is not stated anywhere by beretta or Langdon, so it has caused confusion for some. The beretta designers realized the thicker barrel made the compact version more comfortable to shoot, with that extra thickness along with the rotating design being two factors that help soften the shots. Not to mention langdon’s upgrades such as the trigger work and slide milling also enhance the px4 experience. I recently bought a normal px4 compact and fell in love from the first magazine. $600 bought happiness in this case. I’d recommend this firearm to anyone. And great video fellahs, that was informative.
@mikerosie29644 ай бұрын
That would explain why the compact had better or equal recoil impulse compared to the full size, and possibly why I’ve seen arguments about barrel to slide diameters being different between 40 and 9mm… maybe they’re both right.
@timjeezyy2 ай бұрын
Yeah I think both are correct. The barrel different is why the compact shot softer. Beretta does not explicitly state anywhere that the px4 compact has a thicker barrel (.40) compared to the px4 full-size (regular 9mm barrel), but it does and always been designed with the thicker barrel.

Guys, I loved this video. I've got 12 LTT configurations (92*6; PX4*2, P30*3, 1301*1) and I can run and score my 92's & P30's better than my PX4's, but I love them anyway. I keep eyeing the new PX4 GSD but I have to slow down 😄. Jake, In a world of left-handed problems, you drop mags way more than I do 🤣, but fortunately the PX4 mag release is switchable for us lefty's (unlike 2011's).

The first time I shot it I thought it had malfunctioned because of the lack of recoil lol. I now have around 3,000 rounds though it and am planning on never selling it. My only complaint is the lack of holsters and the fact that everyone I let shoot it says it was there favorite gun that they shot that day and they’ve never heard of it lol. I have a PX4 Compact from LTT and have been thinking of picking up a full-size, but I have a ton of full-size 9mms so have been holding off. Glad I did as the new model and added mod options look great. Agree completely about the recoil impulse of the pistol. I’ve owned so many premium handguns chasing that perfect combination of size, weight, concealment and performance. The Wilson’s, Staccatos and Sig Legions, it wasn’t until I got the PX4 Storm Compact Carry Inox that I realized what I actually was looking for. This is the optimal carry gun for me. Easy to conceal, seems chunky in your hand and gives you a nice full grip (I have the compact Inox with the stainless slide), great capacity at 15 rounds without some funny looking extendo magazine or extensions, and after I Langdonized it with the sights, trigger in a bag and Talon Grips? It is the best carry gun, less the optic cut which I will be having done this year via Langdon or Gun Cuts which are the only two companies that do it. You can’t do better than the PX4 Storm in my humble opinion The compact carry is the ultimate carry gun, Langdonize it and you’re dealing with a shoot able platform that performs like a gun five times its price.

I’ve owned a full-size for about 12 years now and I love it. When I first got it, my friends shit on me until they saw me hitting the target consistently at 50 yards. The gun is amazing, but I highly recommend upgrading the trigger. I’ve also noticed that if a magazine stays loaded for several months without being cycled through, if you mag dump them sometimes it double feeds on one of the last few rounds. That’s the only problem I’ve ever had, and it was with the magazine.

What a Great video. I loved how you interacted with Mr. Langdon. I really appreciated the side by side comparison of the pistols. To really be able to feel the recoil and flat shooting would be a super experience. By the way does the compensator fit on the compact also? Keep up the great work.

As long as the rail length is the same it will. Which I’m honestly not sure if they’re the same

Looking forward to Langdon having more parts available. Although I understand why they are sold out.

I’ve got 3 of them. Full, compact and sub in 40. The full was my first pistol ever back in 2006 and has been one of my most favorite guns. So easy to shoot and extremely reliable. The one thing it has against it is it’s looks. A foolish reason to dislike a phenomenal gun.👍

I think it looks phenomenal, if I were buying a gun based off looks this would be it.

@@Getyourdoe you sir, are one of the few people I’ve ever had that comment from. I chose the px4 originally because of the modularity of the platform. I needed the small back strap for my hand size. I switched the mag release to a lefty shooter as I drop mags with my shooting right hand middle finger. I didn’t see many other guns like that back in 2006. The double/ single action with decocker was a big “safety” thing to me as a new ccw carrier back then as well. Now a days i’m carrying a Sig Macro in a very similar configuration. Modularity in the name of function is my main concern. 👍

I own one. First pistol I ever bought never had a single failure and it's awesome. That was 20 years ago

there are two kinds of people. Those who think it's a stupid gun because they've never shot one, and the people that have shot one and understand it's the most under appreciated guns ever made.

I'm pretty sure that title is held by the H&K P2000.

That mic is epic. I knew this dude had a chest cold or something going on before he started dry hacking. Man that dry phlem rasp made me flinch.

I purchased a LTT px4 as my first handgun. A few boxes in I am enjoying it. I would class the recoil as tame, pushy over flippy.

Thanks for the video guys. I think my favorite Beretta's are 92FS or G because of the decocker better, the 71 is fun & the one I want the most 93R. I will get it one day.

One major point is the fact that since the Compact has a shorter barrel than the Full-Size, there's less vibration in the barrel in the shorter barreled handguns than their full-size counterparts. That makes a ton of sense, plus Langdon Tactical is an excellent company as well, so it makes sense to make a compact, Hell, maybe even a sub-compact one day to be just as nice & accurate as a full-size.
