How does Honda not realize how important the car being made in Japan is.... I didnt love the FK8 at first... it grew on me slowly... However i love this car... the perfect balance of type r flash and function, while staying aesthetically super clean. Home run on this one.

I like it a lot! The fact that it’s made in Japan is a big deal to me. It’s like a badge of honor, having a small piece of Japanese culture in your garage. It’s cool they downsized the wheels a bit. 20s we’re too much I thought.

Great content as usual. The fact that the VIN starts with J is a huge deal. It's a piece of Japan in our garage and the true spirit of the Type R's history. It's still such a loss that the Swindon plant closed. So much Type R and Honda Racing history there too. Regarding the overall design, it is a more refined and mature type R for sure. Honda definitely had a targeted marketing population in mind and I'm sure many of the indivdiauls who all sought to obtain the EK9 (or those of us who did the "conversations") will be at that point in life where we want that type of refinement but still enjoy those thrilling moments. I can't wait to see when the aftermarket manufacturers get their hands on this.

It's a huge deal that the car is now made in Japan and I think it's beautiful looking for a car that we haven't even seen set up with 18" CE's and A052s. This is as good as Honda has been with a production car from launch maybe ever. Great coverage Dude!

I had a Japanese, an USA, and i drive today in a UK made Civic. My parents drove a UK Civic which the next owner still drive. 20 years, no rust! So where Honda build the vehicles, quality is always at the highest level. I am so impressed about the new Type R, i go to order a 2.0 E-HEV in cosmic grey this year. Return to Japanese made Honda. Great that Jason do turn the handle of the rear lights for a good view of the lights when on. Far more better than Audi with the silly blinking. Honda did it again, and keeps me fascinated.

Just had a dealer launch party last night here in Sydney Australia for previous type r owners, I placed an order on the spot . Love the clean lines and yes I’ve owned 2 fk8s. Only downside is current delivery times , but hey thats all performance cars worldwide right? Nice job Honda, a fitting swansong for a remarkable ICE. Love your work Joey.

The type R being made in Japan 🇯🇵 is 100% a big deal. Especially from a collectors point of view and as mentioned in your video, build quality.

Makes the FK8 look like a teenagers' car. Much more refined and mature design. Way better imo. Honda is back!

The shot with the white FL5 and the Hondajet is so amazing. Had to pause the video and just look at it for a while.

This thing is refined to perfection. The fk8 was a little bit goofy on some points and this one just seems to hit all the marks. This thing is gonna look amazing with a lowered stance and wheels. Don't worry fk8 owners, as like all the previous chassis, there's always a cult following for every chassis. I got stuck with the EFs but looking forward to getting one of these next summer to fall.

I'm a 90's Honda person at heart. But I gotta say I'm glad they have brought back the original Type-R touches. It has a modern style of where Honda started and it looks beautiful. I'm still mixed on the styling of the rear arch work. I think the hatch should be more bubble style like the older cars were back in the day, but all around its beautiful.

I like this type r a lot more then the last gen, lot more simple and more true to a civic type r to me, really like the interior

In the final shot with the lighting, you can see the wider fenders are still there, even if slightly more subtle than on the FK8, happy to see that and it sets it apart from the other Civic models!

Functional hood, nice big front air tube/funnel but a front exhaust manifold with 02 sensor reminds me of the R18 engine (just that part)

I'm just not mad at it really. Red carpet, the seats.. The interior seems really simplified, you just have to drive it. The FK8 I think is everything my ricer self wanted but this 11th gen really kinda refined an adult car but still gives you all the cool stuff and tech under the cover. Also really going to cool to see what happens aftermarket and the wing mounts open up a lot of options haha.

Its a huge step forward - FK8 is beast and this adds even more performance Ill proably pickup a last year model before they end production like the LE

Is the American specification leather-wrapped steering wheel? The Japanese specification is Alcantara winding.

Do you think it would look better with a wing or lip closer to the body out back or with what it already has? Either way I would definitely get rid of the rear wiper.

What the fk8 should've been. Feel like they went back to their roots and made a Type R that isn't so "extreme" looking, for lack of a better term. The everyday person wouldn't even know how special the car is if it was just park on the street. Like the original Type Rs.

Sure it will go well & handle like it should but aesthetically i'm not a fan of newer generation Honda's. Like the new Integra the lack of rake on the hood kills it for me. Be interesting to see what aftermarket tuners do with it in the bodykit dept to improve it.
