Destiny 2's Dawning Event introduced a new memento that comes with a shader called Rime Keepsake. Here's a preview of the animated shader on different weapons!

Thanks for this- Much appreciated preview! PS , this event, fill your inventory with cookies and other seasonal event things and start opening gift boxes until you get a momento - it should go to post master - Only 1 momento only Vasily ! ( do on each character and you can carry 4 forward if it works the same as the all black shader did last month. if you need more items than cookies will provide, - items to fill your inventory can come as keys from previous HELM things like wartable, remember to grab all thge old seasonal artifacts and you will start randomly collecting keys and such from those seasons . no need to play the past content, you just want to fill your inventory spaces. last months helm mission stuff has 3 different power level currencies also , eris on the moon gives things, several on dreaming city

The memento wouldve been 100% better if the cracked ice parts were on the whole gun.

Epicurean with the "Beggar, to be fed" ornament is literally one of the only weapons this looks good on. happy it looks good on it since it's one of the best fusions for pvp

personally i think its pretty good on the heritage and nation of beasts, not sure what other weapons though

you can apply the shader to any craftable weapon to see what it looks like

I just wanna clarify what the guy said above me...as long as the gun is crafted then go to the shades and find the momento shader and apply. If the gun isn't crafted then craft it without a memento and preview it as stated above. Favorite the memento shader so it's always on first page and easy to find to preview guns quickly

they shouldve made it a deep blue like stasis and really contrast is with bright white cracks

Only further exemplifies how they did the kings fall weapons dirty with that permanent red. The animation on it makes it worse, it wasn’t there in destiny 1. When KF launched you used to be able to preview shaders on the scout and have the red be overridden, but they changed it.

once you've earned the momento from the quest, you can then put it on any crafted weapon

@@grimmington2569 the first one is not RNG you have to complete a quest to get it. Any subsequent drops are then RNG based

The only weapons these look nice on are bows. Thats it. It dont look good on the vast majority of weapons. Which is a shame. No reasson for me to farm them tbh.
