Scooter looks and performs awesome. I like the black version. You guys should have done a trunk test to see how well you can fit it in a normal sedan. I also want to hear what the horn sounds like. They should start using cree led headlights which are much brighter than regular ones.

Jimmy sold his car and I have an SUV, so we had no trunk to test it out in. It should fit similar to the previous Mantis scooters but the handlebars are two inches wider.

Great video as always! The Scooter looks beautiful, it makes me think if a Wolf King and Eagle One had a baby with the King GT's cockpit, and adjustable suspension? Just Wow... so good. IMO the throttle dead zone, if you were at 5 dual motor and someone ever touches that throttle or say you bump it with no dead zone, you're going to send it, with you included depending on how hard you're holding it. A Wolf King GT will rip your arm out the socket, or the kick stand will chop your ankle to the bone in a second. P.S Keep up them dank slides 👌

I got mine today from Voro Motors and they definitely didn’t fix that rear fender. Took it on a ride tonight and it was flapping in the breeze just as bad as ever.

Great looking scooter, still happy with my Vsett 10+ seems similar spec wise since I upgraded my suspension and put 160mm rotors on, Jimmy what elbow pads you using? They look comfy👍

I was debating between the two. I'm surprised the Mantis King has has roughly the same top speed as the Vsett 10+ because it (the Vsett) has 600 more volts.

This looks like a big improvement on my Mantis 10 base (2022 model) but I'm not sure that I trust Kaboo after my personal experience. The build quality and quality control is non existant, I have had to dismantle and check the steering and suspension and what I found was pretty shocking, very sloppy assembly, then there was the problem with the e7 fault code which the retailer refused to believe was happening until I started to threaten them with legal action, then they got a tech to look at it and he told me that none of the myriad of electrical connectors were properly assembled and were backed out of the plugs. It took him 2 weeks (part time I guess) to go through everything to get it working properly. No, Kaboo do not make a quality scooter.

Thanks again for another informative video. I’ve never been a fan of Kaabo scooters. It sure why but this version has changed my thoughts. It looks amazing with its colour scheme. It reminds me of wonder women 1984 which suits its power and toughness. Hope it’s just a cover lens on the gopro

I was very interested in Mantis 2 years back. But it was full of holes, not usable for dailly commute. Now I have my Begode Tesla T3 and Inmotion V12 HT, so I do not care about it anymore 😂. But now it looks like perfect scooter in my opinion :-).

Am I missing something guys? Dragy times for the GT king 0-30 in 7.35 seconds 0-40 in 16.98 seconds Dragy times for the Pro SE in last years video 0-30 in 5.2 seconds 0-40 in 13.1 seconds Of course there are many other things to consider being a benefit with the GT King including top speed but as far as flat out acceleration is involved, looks like the Pro with the Square wave controller is still the winner here!? Not complaining as I have a Mantis Pro, just was expecting things to be the other way around. All this considered, clearly overall the GT King is the better unit by far overall tho. Love your videos too!!

I have a 23 mantis king gt with the upgraded digital screen locally posted by me for $1200. It has 33 miles and is 1 year 7 months old. Is this a smart buy or would you be worried about the battery. Is there anyway to check the condition of the battery?

Since when does 'faster rebound' make it "absorb the bumps better" (3:07) ? I think the term rebound damping doesn't mean what you think it means.

I came to the comments section for this exact reason. I don't think they understand what rebound adjustment does, or is, and why they think it stiffened up the suspension. Don't mean to sound rude, I was just wondering if they, or anyone, cleared up what they observed.

About the lack of Loctite criticism you guys said about Kaabo in the video with Monocat Kate - suppose that's just the matter of removing screws and applying locktite ourselves, or is that a deal (and warranty) breaker? How long would it take to perform this preventative maintenance task for a mechanically minded and experienced (motorcycle) rider?

The emove cruiser was a failure. This is from the same company but there no bad reviews on this or the higher scooters. Do you have an opinion on why they would produce something to problematic? Im a first time buyer and this it the exact scooter I plan on buying. I’d love your input .

I did not have any stem wobble. The two bolts on each side of the latch can come loose over time from riding, which may make it feel like stem wobble. But they are easy to tighten and I never have any stem wobble issues besides that. I may loctite them but want to see if the issue persists after my one time needing to tighten it.

I’m in the same boat as you but the phantom is out of the race for me because i think the mantis is just better, it has a better screen and better suspension, top speed about the same and I’m not sure which has better range. Then down to the mantis king and Nami burn e 2… while i no the Nami is better I’m not convinced it’s a thousand dollars better no what i mean? This mantis king feels like a smaller Nami in many ways and why I’m leaning towards it for my next scooter.

Exactly. The Nami Burn E2 would be mine if it had an LG or Samsung battery. I'm torn between the Blade GT+ and this Mantis. Can't beat the 4 year warranty special though.

How much more expensive do you guys think this would have been, if it came with something like the Boosted Rev curve throttle? They probably would have had to use a more sophisticated controller. Everything else on this scooter is pretty cool!:-)

This looks good. I like my storm but it's not waterproof, difficult at slow speed , unridable over 30mph and suspension way too hard. This may be a better fit for me.

Great video guys, thanks. However be careful with Mantises, I've just bought a Mantis 10 V2 model with a Chinese 18.2Ah battery and I could only ride around 15-18km before the battery if empty. In dual motor, 3rd gear on a flat road with no hills with minimum breaking and accelerating. I've tried to ride on a second gear with dual motors, up to 45km/h, but the range was the same, around 20km. My weight is 70kg. I've reported the issue to the seller and wrote to Kaabo as well. What they did was: send a us a video showing the battery level, then the range. Then send us another video, then the third showing the battery voltage from a charging port. So in total I've sent around a dozen of short videos during these two weeks. Eventually they just stopped replying me. I wanted to see how far the scooter can go in eco mode, single motor, as the claimed range was 85km in perfect conditions. Driving it on 21km/h is a torture! But since I drive in perfect conditions, I was able to cover around 30km and the battery still had 2 divisions left, but the scooter just died. Literally, on a road, 3km away from home in just switched off and stopped. Now I can't even turn it on and the battery is not charging, the led indicator on a charging port is always green. Luckily I still had a couple of days to open a dispute on Ali, I wan't to keep the scooter as I enjoy riding it, but I need a new battery.

@@RegularEscooterRider I have mantis 8 which is 48V 18.2Ah and my range is around 45 km when I ride aggressively and around 70km in eco mode (I'm 70kgs), so I am pretty sure that something is wrong with the battery. Recently also ordered teverun fighter 11+ from iWheel, waiting for it to come to Riga ;)

К лету закажу новые ячейки от Panasonic и хочу перебрать батарейку. А от Teverun мне больше Mini приглянулся. Но тут каждому своё, потому что мощности и в Kaabo за глаза

Man for $2500 this honestly seems like the best scooter on the market at that price. Taking everything into consideration starting with the looks which are beautiful from the color scheme to the beautiful deck with rgb lighting . Next the locking mechanism on the stem might be the best on the market not only is it extremely easy an simple but it’s as solid as they come. Then to the screen display which is nice and big and bright teamed up with that thumb throttle which i love and a similar combo to what Nami uses. Then the icing on the cake the adjustable hydraulic brakes! This scooter is seriously an excellent all around scooter for everything kabbo hit this one out the park and this review was great and confirmed everything i stated.

@@rootstriker1618 I disagree. Vsett makes better scooters than Kaabo. I have a wolf warrior and 10+ and the kaabo has needed repairs quite often and the Vsett has had no issues. And it goes 49mph

Even these two have stated that in a comment somewhere that the mantis king was a better ride then the Vsett 10+. i Also disagree about Vsett being a better company than kabbo in general as well kabbos best scooter is better then Vsett best scooter that’s a fact , and now this scooter is better then there second best scooter

Thank you for the review. Could you guys please share more information about the following as I have this scooter on preorder and now I am a bit worried due to the issues you guys described. So here comes the main questions : 1. The thumb throttle. When you are saying "dead zone" what exactly do you mean? You press the throttle a bit and nothing happens and you need to push more in order the scooter to move OR you mean that if you press the throttle to the maximum, you feel a delay before the power kicks in? please share more info about this 2. I did not understand the issue with the voltage meter on the display. By saying "Its 2 volts off", It was showing 61V on your display, but in reality you had 59V? And if yes, how did you know that its not correct? 3. Here in Bulgaria where I preordered the scooter, it says the battery is 25 Ah and in your video it says 24 Ah? Sorry english is not my native language so I was not able to understand, I would really really appreciate if you take a minute or two to share as much information as possible.

I might be able to help with your question about the throttle. Yes, there is about half an inch or so of distance that it will travel before any power engages. This will save you in case your taking it through a door and bump the throttle, or someone asks "whats that" and touches it while it's powered on. I can't lie, it is an annoyance when you are a little more accustom ey3 throttle or something of that nature, and you can flick the throttle and get instant power. Depending on how you look at it, it's a very simple but useful safety feature. IMO, best upgrade you can do it change it to a e-Bike thumb throttle instead, that dead zone is gone and you have very fine tuned manipulation of the throttle.

I got mine yesterday and when I have ABS turned on, the scooter makes a weird noise and vibrates when breaking. Is this normal? The noise almost sounds like that iphone ringtone some people use.

Bought a second hand mantis 8 only had 142 miles onit did not even have a mark onit looked brand new. After a few more miles i noticed a wobble on the front end and thought some thing had just come loose, it turned out the stem had cracked and this is a major design flaw on most mantis scooters. the bottom half of the stem bar is welded and ground back flat but it seems the welds do not penetrate properly and this leads to the stem cracking and is dangerous. on the mantis 8 the tires that come with them are crap the different ply layers are not bonded properly on the production line and this leads to bulging. If you do not get the pro versions you will get crap cells in the battery packs and they have high internal resistance and under two wheel drive mode three you will see the voltage sag badly. After i contacted kaabo customer service they did not want to know or help in anyway shape or form, they do not give a toss. You do not buy a mtb or moped and they fall to bits after 200 miles.

I doubt they have it fixed but you can add a shim in the throttle to take care of the dead zone. I'll try to find a video on it.

It’s a safety thing. People complained about touching the throttle and the tires spinning. It’ll prob never change

and reset setting isnt that bad. most of scooters has mode when u turn it on its on speed limit 1. and then u switch it to better one.

I had the mantis pro not for very long it was way to jumpy wasnt a fun ride. The wolf king gt pro had the best ride smooth power

My concern is are parts available after warranty expires and for how much. There are some scooters that have been discontinued and parts are hard to get.

Great review guys already own the mantis pro but the mantis king looks really nice it could have been a lot faster though 👍

46 mph is plenty fast for this size of a scooter any faster i would want something bigger and heavier with 11in tires

You mentioned the three pin ports for charging that limit spark. I have a Varla Pegasus. The first few times I charged it no spark ever. But lately, I get spark when connecting. Could it be because I'm having too much power left in the battery still when I decide to charge it? Or is there some other reason causing the spark. Can the collars be trimmed back a millimeter or so maybe to stop the spark. Or is the collar length needed for point connection?

Where i live you can get a Burn-E 2 Max for 500€ more than the Mantis King GT. Feels like a nobrainer.

Is there anyway to do a custom job to replace the leds in the housing so you have a brighter light? All the other issues you mentioned are really minor minor things to dislike (wouldn’t use the word hate) lol but deff wouldn’t steer me away from purchasing in any way
