You're welcome. I was in a similar dilemma between cb500x and versys 650. I eventually chose the cb because it looked more mordern than the versys. Now the versys seems to have caught up in a better way. All the features I desired have now been provided. I hope your choice makes you happy.

I am currently in the process of buying a new motorcycle. I am considering Versys 650, Tracer 700, V-strom 650, Honda CB500X. Compared to the CB500X, the Versys is much heavier. Tracer is the lightest in the 500cc class, but it doesn't have traction control. I like the Versys LCD display, TC and the implementation of modern technologies. I also really like that the rear suspension is easily adjustable without tools. I've had the chance to ride the ER6N a lot and I can see that some parts on the new Versys are the same as on the old ER6N from 10 years ago (probably they stick to the "if it works don't change it" :) ). The engine probably underwent minimal changes to meet eco standards, but that 650cc is installed in many Kawasaki models, just like Yamaha's CP2. Versys, Tracer or V-Strom which one to choose :)

Yeah, choosing a bike can be difficult. But ultimately, go for the one that will suit your needs. Personally, if the Kawasaki versys 650 had all the features it has now 3 years ago, I probably would have opted for that. That said, the CB500x is still awesome. Let us know which one you eventually choose. Cheers!

I agree. Green has always been their signature color but times have changed. They should have different colors for different people. Personally, I'm not a fun of their shade of green.

Kawasaki Versys 650 is the most beautiful bike in the category. I had a v strom 650 2008 a very reliable bike but it become old, so i duy a Cf moto 650 MT that is Chinese bike similar to Versys. At USA mast have it as cf moto advetura. Why i say all this? I have the cf moto for almost 2 years with no problems and i pay the half of a Versys LT. With 5990€ they give me crash bars, two paniers and hand guards. Considerate as a cheap option.

I agree. If I were buying a mid-weight adventure bike today it would be the Kawa 650versys. They now have all the features I like, most of which the CB500X doesn't have yet. Plus the price has been reduced to almost the same as the CB500X. It has more value for money now than the CB. And yes, CF is a pretty good brand now. Lots of accessories come with their bikes with just a small amount extra.
