I need a new timer for ours...I just use hoses from the faucet outside, but they only seem to last like a year or 2...most seem to be junk...but at least they work for a bit.

My XC400i does not show the clock when in idle "RUN" position. Is this normal?

No, check the outlet to ensure you have power.

I have power and am able to set the zone times, days to water and date.

Is you timer plugged into the wall electrically? Or is it battery powered, if it’s battery powered the display will disappear to save the battery when not in use.

It's plugged into the wall outlet. I have power as I'm able to use all the settings. Date, time, day run time, start time. But, when I turn it to run, all I see is an umbrella that shows my rain sensor is active. There is a Hunter rain sensor connected to the unit. It's status is green. My timer is set to active and not bypass the sensor.

The umbrella is telling you that the rain sensor has disabled the timer due to rain. If there has been no rain that your rain sensor is most likely defective.
