There is a bug with the dealer AI where if the dealer has a looking glass and beer and he uses the looking glass to figure out the round, then uses the beer to cycle the round, the dealer's memory flag of what round is chambered is not cleared, so he still thinks the round that he just ejected is still chambered. So if he cycles out a blank, then he thinks there is still a blank and he will always shoot himself. (Unless it's the last round. The AI always knows what the last round is.)

i have watched a video explaining that dealers AI uses items in practically random order but he really uses items in order he pulled them out of the box so yeah, for us it looks random

Imagine for the hardcore instead it started with the Dealer, made beers eject 2 shells, more item slots, and extra shells which adds extra shells(random either 2-4 blanks or live) which would be cool making the start harder since Dealer starts, beers are a bit more interesting, and extra shells for longer rounds and more random chances.

I feel like drinking is the play if theres more either more blanks than live rounds or it's a 50/50. Lets say it's 4/4. You drink and it ejects a blank. You now have a 60% chance of a live round. If it ejects a live round, you have a 60% chance for a blank and you could take an extra turn. If you have 2 live and 3 blanks. If you drink and eject a blank it's a 50/50. If you eject a live round then you have a 75% chance of taking an extra turn, then a 66% chance. Meanwhile if you didn't drink you had a 60% chance of a blank. So drinking gives you a better idea of the probability.

14:00 thats actually a bug with the AI if it uses a glass and then ejects the round usingg beer his flag for what round he thinks it is doesn't reset so he thought it was still the blank round that he ejected with beer the AI is quite stupid indeed

I dunno is this is specially a "hardcore" mode, it feel more like an infinity mode immedietalley starting with items. But at least the dealer AI is somewhat less stupid if taking the pills. I also noticed, at least for my game, the magnifying glass (uff, difficult word) is a bit more rare. - but to be honest, these are kinda OP and taking a bit tension away anyway. xD Seems not the way for your game. ö.Ö

I would honestly love to see you try to win without knowing how many blanks or lives there are, only how many rounds are in the chamber and relying on your items to tell you the rest.

When the odds are 50/50, I would recommend drinking the beer and ejecting a round. The odds being 50/50 are the worst for you because then your choice of who to shoot doesn't really matter. You want the odds to favor one or the other. If you skip a live round, then you know the odds are the next one is blank, especially if there aren't that many rounds in the shotgun, and then you shoot yourself. If you skip a blank, then you know the odds are it's a live round and you shoot at the dealer. In statistics games, you always want to have as much information as possible and leaving it 50/50 is the worst thing to do, in my opinion.

I don't think that's optimal. If it's 50/50 and you skip a blank, that's better of course, but if you skip a live you still risk shooting yourself with bad luck, which will give the dealer the turn. Best case scenario after skipping a live is that you shoot yourself with a blank, which puts the situation back to 50/50 which means you gained nothing. Plus you risked shooting yourself with a live round in the process. IF you skip a blank that's obviously optimal. In which case you have better odds shooting the dealer with a live. But these situations will happen equally (since it's 50/50). So 50% of the time you have to be risky and shoot yourself praying for a blank, which ends up returning to the same situation. The other 50% you are slightly ahead. IF this was a free thing to do it might not matter what you pick, but because it costs an item that you might be able to use later it feels worse imo. But you'd have to run like a massive experiment or do some math to find out for sure.

Math dictates that if there's a live and 2 blank 1 live that you shoot him every time. Because shooting yourself and then shooting him leaves the 50/50 you miss but a 100% chance he hits. Shooting him leaves a 50/50% you get hit but a 100% chance you hit if he misses. Mathematically the former dictates around a 60% chance you get shot, but the prior dictates a 33% chance you get shot. Also - If it's 50/50 with 2/2 or 3/3 and you have a bear, it's mathematically superior to drink the beer and rack the gun. If it's live you have the same situation as above - where you shoot him and give him a 50/50 to shoot you if it's blank, or a 15~25% chance to shoot you if you land the hit - but if it's blank you end up racking, you have an increased chance of shooting him. If it's live he's left with 50/50 again.... if it's blank you just accept the fact that you got unlucky that one time. The exceptions being where his items land - cuffs means he has 75/50, magnify means he picks, beer means it doesn't matter.
