Today I share with you a full breakdown tutorial of how to launch tiktok ads in 2024 for a Shopify drop shipping/ecommerce store. Some of these principals are universal, but these ads are built around purchase conversions.
One thing you need to understand about the tiktok platform if you are a beginner, is that the targeting really doesn't matter. You should however test a few different targeting options to see what optimizes better. That's what matters, how something optimizes (which can be quite random). This is why we test multiple ad groups at a time.
Spark ads are the top performers for me, but you should test that on your own ad account to verify (we cover this in the video). I test a minimum of 3 videos under each ad group
If your Shopify store has a discount for your product, make absolutely certain that your discount is correlated with what's shown on your store. If your ad account says 50% off, but it's actually 49% on the store, then you are technically violating the Tiktok policy. Your pricing must be congruent, otherwise it will be labeled as "misleading"
Overtime, this can lead to your ads being partially disapproved, and even your entire tiktok ad account suspended.
Tiktok ads optimize very weird, and constantly fluctuate. So make sure to keep a close eye on your ads to make changes as needed.

Always very insightful stuff! You say targeting isnt important tho, IS IT THE SAME FOR FB?? like say you got super specific, & knew your audience, age location etc! Should you not get better results targeting them specifically? or is it just on tiktok? All my results are honestly pure random, my open audience sets have always been the best overall though and cheapest cpc. i would assume targeting super specific should make it better? if not tho, its very counter intuitive.. But should you be seeing sales *(multiple) the day of the tiktok campaigns at 50 a day budget or does it get better overtime? like a day or two Also would you test a few products together or just one at a time with 3 vids?

For ad spend, I use Amex for the points. As for a payment processor, you can start with shopify payments. But as you scale, I would recommend something else

Hey, so I wanted to know how to activate the complete purchase event. It just says no recent activity. I have had sales like 2 weeks ago, but now, it says no recent activity and I am getting no sales, just visitors. I have tried to do the same ad setup as before, but it just doesn't bring in any sales now. I have tried doing something similar to this ad setup and let it run for about a week, and still nothing. Hey man, if I've spent about 2k lifetime ads on numerous different stores and got about 10 sales. What do you think realistically I should've spent for that 10 sales? Like if you hit your average of 10 sales, how much would you think you'd spent if you didn't look?? Because I saw someone Spend $25 on tiktok promotions not ads, and get sales with single digit traffic. So I understand, I shouldn't have to go broke to make a sale.

Depends on a lot of different factors. But $2k for 10 sales is a rough test. However, you are paying down ignorance tax. Gotta learn somehow

Not abnormal during testing. If you’ve never done something before, no chance you will be good at it right away. I’ll bet your ads, store and product could all use improvement. The only way to learn is to practice
