The Bills are missing out on an opportunity for a domed stadium. Good luck having games delayed due to snow in the wintertime and having to pay people to shovel out snow. Weather problems can be prevented if they simply went with a translucent or retractable roof for their new stadium. At least some teams getting new stadiums in the next few years now are doing it the right way just to eliminate weather problems by having a roof.

Not just weather problems but people will have comfort as well as SB or Final 4 and or soccer cups etc. Chicago is going to be a Mecca for it
@RT884143 ай бұрын
@@MrUnsolvedMystery I agree. I get it that football is a sport that’s traditionally played outdoors but you have to plan for bad weather days that won’t delay a game and it would go on as scheduled and the fans wouldn’t have to put up with the elements of inclement weather for 3.5 hours. Some fans on one side like having the games outdoors while there’s the other side that likes the indoors. However if you want to still have that outdoor feel to the games, just build a retractable roof and you can open it on days when the weather is clear and keep it closed on days when it’s expected to either rain or snow or if the wind is a factor. Another weather condition I didn’t mention was the summer heat when the season starts and fans can be in the shade in an indoor stadium for that 3.5 hours.
@RT884143 ай бұрын
@@rhdtv2002 with an indoor stadium, you can host various other events not just related to football and weather won’t be a problem. For example(and you can probably tell from my profile picture) I went to watch Metallica last year in Arlington, Texas in August 2023 and it was HOT during the day and it was a good thing they played in Cowboys stadium not having to worry about those high 90+ temperatures. Temperatures like that can leave you sunburned and sweating the whole time and you could get heatstroke. You probably know where I’m going with this.

He said he would rather see a new stadium over in Kansas by the mascara racetrack and means soccer stadium and wants a domed staduim so KC can get bigger events. He also said they had that tax for 40 years and with 8 years left they decide to extend it. That pissed people off.
@mantistoboggan25993 ай бұрын
KC Resident here 👋🏼 the tax extension getting voted down had nothing to do with the actual tax itself. It had more to do with John Sherman, the Kansas City Royals owner, being a chode and roping the chiefs into his deal to get a new stadium in downtown KC. Which was a crap deal that would’ve displaced 22 businesses and local residents living in our crossroads district.

This is crazy. I live outside Tampa. Even the Glazers say they do not need a new stadium at this time. RJ Stadium will be 30 in 2028. They can still renovate 1 more time before considering building a new stadium. Tampa will never vote for a new stadium unless the Glazers come up half the money. Besides Tampa sales tax is at the maximum allowed by the state. Tampa does not have the bed tax money that Pinellas County gets. At best the city will try to not allow the 1/2 cent sales tax to sunset. That is how they funded RJ Stadium. No comment on Orlando or Miami. They have tourism money that Tampa could only dream about. 4 NFL teams in Florida, no way.
