Really informative video! Being able to pick it up and start easier makes it a really good alternative to the Penny Board.

Heyy, I have a question about where you got your nickel one. I have been searching for hours and I cant find one who isnt sold out. Do you have some good recommendations where to get one? (I live in Europe) I also want to say that I loved your video!

Hey Sara! Thanks for your question - the place I bought my Nickel board was directly from the Penny Skateboards website. I know some of their designs have sold out/been sold out for some time, but you can always customize your own by buying an individual Penny 27-inch deck, set of trucks, etc. as well from them. The only other place online that I know sells Penny Skateboards is Amazon. Otherwise a local surf or skateboard shop might have some too. There are a bunch of knock-offs which you can find from off-brand sites too, but Penny is the OG!

Yo SO Pumped for you to ride Tiffany! Regarding cleaning your board, there are definitely different ways to do it. Some people like to take the trucks off to wash the entire deck, which will definitely get the deck as clean as possible. Others just use a simple spray and wipe or a sponge to give it a good scrub (while keeping the trucks/bearings/wheels on). To clean your bearings, a simple orange (non-harsh) cleaner spray would be totally fine. To then keep the bearings lubricated after the spray, sewing machine oil (which is like $5) works well to keep them rolling longer too. Just keep in mind, getting the bearings wet is never good for them so if you wash your deck with water, just make sure to have your trucks/bearings away!

Do you still love your penny board? Yesterday was my 2nd day with one and it was frustating. I know that the bigger the board, the easier it will be. But the whole point I bought one, is because I can take it with me when I walked in the park. You were a big inspiration to me, until I saw this video xD

Hey Rodrigo, thanks for your comment! To answer your question, yes, I still love and use my 22inch Penny Board! My penny board will always be superior to my Nickel when it comes to traveling, but I when I'm hanging around my apartment complex, I'll usually take my Nickel for that. If you're new to riding the Penny, it definitely can be frustrating at times. What I recommend trying is trying to find a slight downhill road that you don't need to push with your feet on (but not to steep that it's terrifying). The goal is to just play around with your foot positioning and slowly start getting comfortable distributing your weight to your toes (to turn inward) and then your heels (to turn outward). Play around here first, and then try and work on pushing after that!

Isnt it more like a longboard than a skateboard? Because the penny nickel is meant for cruising

It’s only 27inches! Compared to a regular skateboard which is typically 32inches, and longboards are usually around 36inches. You can cruise on the nickel, but it’s also capable of tricks more than a normal longboard
