No one talks about this movie. And this just can't leave my head, it's been years I watched it. And I consider my favorite movie ever.

If Robin Williams did an audio book for something be it horror or otherwise, I'd listen to while I draw as way of helping me focus XD

This not only is based on actual events but is presented for the screen very well, a very good movie and a strong performance from Robin Williams, i walked away from this film thinking about how people are and can be very unpredictable frightening and dark, the things this woman Vicky johnson did is indeed twisted and dark and makes one wonder what else has she done or is she capable of doing, its believed she is dead but who knows that could be fake too to cover her tracks but she is a prime example that you really never know people how they really are and all they're capable of.

I know this is an old comment but I disagree. There is a way to know how people really are Inside and that's via astrology if you know who someone is and their real birth info. In fact, sometimes I dont need someones birth info but to just know what astrology transits are going on the moment I meet someone new. I've met people I knew for sure were dangerous for Me personally during transit venus opposite or square my natal pluto and it didnt take long to find out this one guy recently was dangerous by what he said to me online. If anyone's interested and OpenMinded I'd highly suggest when you have the time to learn about astrology. It can literally save your life. There's lots of other good things about it too but I'll leave it there. Anyway, I did watch apart of this movie years ago but I dont remember watching the whole thing but did enjoy it.

This is a very good movie. Robin Williams and Toni Collette are excellent. A young boy is sexually abused by his mother and father along with their "friends", he contracts syphilis and HIV as a result, and he apparently writes a book about it.

Why does the trailer make it look like a thriller? It's not! Stupid. ... I loved the film; was touched on the raw by it because I experienced sth very similar, only - believe or not - MUCH crazier. Like Gabriel, I never found the truth, and miss people who probably(?) never existed. It all hurt so much. Keeps hurting. People who haven't been through it can't understand that particular brand of pain. It's sickening. So it's 'nice' for someone like me to find resonance in a film like this one.

Very bad direction. Disappointing. And Williams: Not the right actor to play a Maupin character - especially Noone, based upon Maupin himself by himself.
