Geist is easily my favorite hidden gem. I'm the same age as you but maybe I was living in a bubble. At the time I remember thinking Geist graphics were fantastic but that could have been because of how few first person shooters we got on the Gamecube compared to other platforms. I loved it. I don't remember much about it besides the premise and taking control of some things and some of the guns but I remember it being fun. If they remastered it I'd check it out but I have a feeling it didn't hold up as well as my mind thinks it did.

My first ever GameCube game was included in a bundle with the GameCube for Christmas some 18-19 years ago. Harry Potter Quddich World Cup You’ll almost never hear people say that’s how they started their gaming career. Keep in mind that due to my passion with sports and later using it as a career in sports journalism and sports broadcasting, I’ve become more of an hardcore casual gamer. Eventually I got sucked into the Zelda hype and picked up the Zelda Master Collection! I grew up as a diehard Sonic, Zelda, and Pokemon fan (still a hardcore fan of both IP’s to this day). However, Zelda holds a soft spot in my heart. PS: I have both Sonic Collections on the GameCube. Very nostalgic

I enjoyed Second Sight till I got a game breaking bug near the end of the game where after a cutscene the screen just stays black, reloading didn't help either so i never beat it as I didn't want to completely restart the game just for it to bug out again. Geist was a lot of fun and Crazy Taxi of course too. As a huge Godzilla fan that game was a must and I was sad that the 2 "sequels" never came to the GC, but eventually I got the other 2 systems as well so i got one of the games for PS2 (Godzilla Unleashed) and the other for Xbox (Godzilla: Save the Earth). Viewtiful Joe 1&2 and the DS game rellay need to be put into an HD remaster compilation. Chaos Field was not released in europe so it eluded me, sadly an expensive import nowadays (no emulation is not really an option for me, my country has stricter laws for that stuff), even the JP version. Tbh back then I didn't like Battalion Wars so I never got the sequel on Wii either, but seeing how cheap that one is nowadays I just bought it for my collection, why not. Virtua Quest has the same issues as Chaos Field, no PAL release and expensive now, unlike Chaos Field though this one is completely new to me. Maybe I'll get it someday, but rare N64 games are a higher priority for now.
