Lil update: I was actually surprised that my second day hair turned out pretty good! It seemed more evenly defined all over with some more volume! I think I prefer it to the wash day..

This is the video I needed. I cannot stand product in my hair. Mousse grosses me out. Whether I'm going strait or my curls, I spray in leave in conditioner, maybe some spray gel for a light hold while styling, and light hairspray. Serum on the ends if they're dry. That's it. If my hair doesn't feel clean and soft one shampoo day I won't make it a few days without another shampoo. If I use mousse or anything heavier I will wash it the next day. Less is best for me.

Same here. I hate product in my hair. IF I put anything in it (curl cream or mousse) I feel like I need to wash my hair at the end of the day to get rid of t!

Honestly sometimes I feel like when I just put some leave-in and scrunch some mousse in my hair looks better than when I spend an hour+ on it. Just doesn't last past 1st day. But if I don't put anything into my hair, by 2nd day most of it is straight besides the back of my head. I like this natural look on you too...the volume!!

Uh same. I want wavy hair so bad. Haha idk what I'm doing. And I really do think it has wave to it. I just need to figure out what products work best for me I guess. Or bike at all. Idk lol I guess that's the fun of experimenting w hair.💁🏻‍♀️

I’m going to try this next time. My only issue is my frizz, but I don’t like when my hair sticks together in an unnatural way. Product doesn’t make my hair curl more. Less if anything. But the frizz. I’m gonna try some leave in & some mousse next wash day 👍🏼🤞🏼

@@jessicagalyon5840 I still have bad frizz exp after scrunching out the crunch. So when I use gel I leave a lot of the cast in on first day. But days I dont need a great hair day I keep it simple and seems to work better than a 2 hour style routine lol.

It’s so funny to me that the top layers of your hair held all the curl while the layers underneath were flat. My hair the complete opposite! If you can flip your hair inside out it would be exactly like mine! I have crazy definition underneath and limp flat hair on top 😅😂

@@lagwagonneverstops🤣 I always tell my husband I wish I could walk around with my hair flipped upside down. I've got the most gorgeous ringlets underneath. As it is, I do clip the top and sides back in two small claw clips quite a bit. That reveals the nice curls.

Hi ! I was the one who suggested you to try this, thanks for making this video ! Even though it is a bit frizzy, I think the definition you have at the front of your hair is really nice ! I've noticed from experience that the wash day is not the best, and what I like with this method is that my hair gets curlier and more defined as the days go by. I hope the same goes with you ! Also, to refresh, I have to use more water than when I have products on (like, soaking wet as if I've just taken a shower).

I think your hair looks great! Very clean and healthy, lots of shine and bounce. I think going product free is the way of the future... honestly most products are just so bad for your hair and scalp no matter how "natural" they are marketed.

I'd be interested to see you do a Part 2, but this time letting your hair dry as it is out of the towel (so no Denman brush!) Just scrunch product free hair.

I stopped using styling products over a month ago. My hair stays cleaner looking and has more volume, especially at the crown. I like your results!

I love this look. I think you could get a similar look with less frizz (although it didn’t look too frizzy to me) if you use light products and don’t diffuse.

I'm. A senior. Hair is thinning on top crown. I have been using scrunch mousse and spray. Blow dry with diffuser and crunch more with hands. After makeup, I take my hands and fluff my hair again and scrunch. I then pull bangs back with head band. It looks like I have twice the hair. My hair is above shoulders. So easy . the next day , spray with water and a little more scrunch spray re dry with diffuser . done.

In my transition phase, my hair used to look like this *with* product. I'm definitely trying this though, I reallly need a break from all the product application and finger rolling I do.

Another way to look at hair products... would you put it on your face? Prob not... then why put it on your hair and scalp? Oil seems to be the only safe bet.

found out recently that i have wavy hair and ngl the amount of products that are used to maintain wavy/curly hair overwhelmed me so much. as someone who has depression and anxiety, that's not a routine i can maintain at all and have to do every single wash .... and the amount of products needed would defintely hurt the wallet. so i ended up not doing anything about my wavy hair as im just not convinced at all i hope in the future i see more no product videos, gives me hope. thanks for this video

I have pixie cut and 2C curls. I have been using Argan oil and since I have short hair it looks straight rather than curly. I am thinking of growing it longer using only Argan oil as a product because the reason why I had my hair cut is I see videos of curly haired women using a LOT of products and I ended up doing it too.After a while I just made up my mind that this routine is not for me. All the time spent every morning, scrunching, suggestions of sopping wet hair with gel/creme which made my hair crunchy and icky. Using Argan oil I think makes my curls look more natural w/o the crunchy feeling.

Since I started CGM 7 wks ago my hair has went to 💩 I never wore products in my hair before. And it was so healthy. I would like to know of a unicorn product that moisturizes without making greasy, & keeps my hair from frizzing. I don’t care about definition, or making my wave tighter.. just want the frizz gone!!!!

Hi! Frizz it's normal, you are in transition, a lightwheight product it's the jessicurl aloeba conditioner (and you can use It as a Leave-in) and try the Giovanni LA gel, It has a lot of extracts and it's hard hold

The only thing i use is shampoo, conditioner, and olive oil. And my hair looks better without gel and the waves last longer

Haha! Scrunching never crossed my mind either! But I’m not sure I like it. It does seem to create frizz on my hair- if I don’t brush it or use denman.

It does but mostly tighter curl patterns see a lot more results

You can find a dupe for the denman at a Walgreens. It is from the brand evolve.

I believe it does, but it’s a different look for me. It takes quite awhile to do so I honestly don’t use it very often just for that reason.. I’m not very picky with my hair on a day to day basis 🙃 and if you don’t want to spend the money, maybe look into what Katryna ^^ said about a dupe 😊 good luck!

Thanks!! I just showed my stylist a picture of a light ashy brown.. I wanted mainly an all over color but it’s a bit more dimensional because we didn’t want to bleach my whole head 🙃

Honestly I go back and forth! Ultimately I think I prefer shorter hair on myself and I’ll always go back to that. It’s easier to take care of and style, and for some reason I feel more confident in it. But I also really like having long hair. I had very long hair when I was growing up and sometimes I miss that so I take a break from cutting and grow it out for awhile 🙃 it’s been a back and forth cycle since I was a teenager 😅

How long does the definition in your hair last without any product? Because mine is almost gone the next day, or it just doesn't look good anymore ;D I have fine 2b waves tho.

And this is why I shampoo daily...I have the same hair type. It's less hassle for me to just start from scratch, than to try to refresh. I never like how a refresh feels much either. I like the feeling of super clean scalp, damage be dam^ed.

@@labornurse Well, with some products it holds the waves much longer and washing my hair daily is a big no no for my scalp. Refreshing my hair helps tho, but not as much as when i used gel and leave in.

I have curlier hair, 3a and I noticed when i use lighter moisturizing products my hair is frizzy by day 2. So I wonder how this challenge with the hair oil would last, I guess i just need the moisture from curl creams lol.

I skipped to the end and I thought your hair looks too good for no hair products...then skipped back to beginning and saw u used argan oil....cheating a bit but ur hair still looks da bomb if I left my hair no products without any oil now that is a challenge I would like to see coz my hair WOULD be a mess !Haha lol

Check out the similar video I mentioned linked in my description, from a year ago! I used no products and didn’t really scrunch except to squeeze out excess water with a t-shirt! Although my hair was definitely shorter then 🙃

Okay, so if you're going product free, adding oil means you're adding product, so "technically" you ARE using a product. Just sayin'. I get adding oil, so maybe that's part of washing care and not "product". That's reasonable.
