The only problem with this channel now is that we all know that Hiwatt is the nicest and most engaging person in the world and we all wish we were friends with him, so his credibility with dark, dystopian music is altered. Haha. Peace and love, you all.

Being the same Generation ("X") as Ken, we, " Nice Guys" share some pretty dark and powerful roots and influences. And it is nice to let them shine through every once and a while... ;)

I suspect the dark, angry art is the very thing that allows people like Ken to be so warm and kind. He's able to channel that energy into something creative rather than allowing it to be a destructive force in his personality.

@@hiwattmarshall I know because I'm the same exact way! I'm about the kindest guy you could meet, but don't get in my way when I'm on stage in performance mode. That's when the demons are exorcised! Thanks for the reply, Ken. Been a huge fan since I discovered The Dragon Experience all those years ago and have remained one since. what noise? Doesn't sound like there's a noise floor here. No USB power hum. No tape hiss. Just artfully applied and sculpted bits mixed in carefully. Love it, despite the relative lack of noise.

It's amazing to see and hear Ken realizing more of his creative side (in the cardinal sense; I would never suggest mixing and engineering are not creative 🤘) Literally hearing more of his voice, and the dynamics on this song are stellar. Also hard to argue with the sentiment behind the song these years into the global pandemic and decades into the juggernaut of the 24/7 news-for-profit cycle. Thank you Ken for sharing, for creating, and for being there week after week getting up to some amazing things in your Friday sessions. And thank you for fostering the most kick-ass community on the interwebs, not just YT (and thank you to the most kick-ass community on the interwebs 🤘).
