The Notebook Deleted Scene - Not Leaving Her (2004) - Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams Movie HD
The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival. But they are separated by Allie's parents who disapprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he restored for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiancé and her first love.

@TheCarrito94, Amen 🙏 as my 2nd Husband has treated me like a Queen as i have dementia and I'm bedridden and immobile and can barely move now as I have too many medical disorders /diseases that can't be cured no matter what and he's stayed by my side for 31 1/2 year's now.

Tùng Nguyễn Xuân makes no difference what state she was in, you do not leave your family behind, even if it was the best facility in the world. So I agree, something went wrong with their upbringing, if their father has to explain why he does not want to leave their mom. I am glad the scene did not make it to the film

That kind of love is a rarity today! That's what true love looks like, sounds and feels like. Going on 43 years this November 14, 1979! We've sailed the SEVEN SEAS of LIFE together. We've become masters at navigating through severe storms and high waves. Just like them 2 in Notebook.

My grandma suffered from dimentia just after my grandad passed away today she was taken into hospital back in 2018 due to a heart attack she survived and she went into a care home pored hot coffee on people she eventually forgot who dad and my uncle were and was taken to a nursing home it eventually lead to her not remembering how to swallow or eat so she was put on baby food she passed away this may. She survived two years with dimentia but I’m happy that she’s not suffering anymore

Unpopular opinion, this scene is sadder than the ending scene to me (as someone who takes care of an old guy with dementia and a grandpa who's had dementia), because just seeing Noah and Allie's family so sad that their mom has dementia and doesn't recognize them anymore is tragic, it's even worse when they want Noah to come home and they're so hopeless. 😭

I'm happy this whole story wasn't put in, from the part he did start on the movie was wonderful, don't need to talk about money or who your giving it too. Just about love and commitment. Beautiful the way it ended, all about them, not a family

This scene is insulting to people that have actually had a family member with Dementia/Alzheimers. My grandmother had it and nobody gave up on her. My father’s mother forgot who he was completely and he still went to see her. My grandfather went every single day. The way her kids are acting in this scene is ridiculous

I totally agree with your comment. It is insulting, but it’s only insulting because you’ve had a better experience. Unfortunately, I think this scene portrays fairly accurately what happens more often. Maybe the scene is a lesson to us to be better people. It is also why I love it, because I feel grateful that I have that kind of relationship with my wife. I will never leave her, and I know she would never leave me. But unfortunately, most relationships are just not like that.

I think it's meant to show the difference in mentality in the 2 generations. Ones got unconditional love for the one he loves and will never leave or give up even if the odds are against him But his kids are willing to give up easily

Mayra Ale Gomez it’s actually Mary Allen. Which makes total sense since that was my great grandmothers name and that name was very popular during the 1920s-1940s.
