It's unacceptable for a bag of that price to have non matching straps. The black zippers don't look great either

What are your thoughts on using this as an inconspicuous camera bag, such as with a small mirrorless system, fuji xt2 and couple of lenses or fuji x100f/similar size system?

I've had a nutsac satchel for a year, and it's been a great edc bag. Thought about the bigger models, but I knew I'd just fill it with more crap. As it is, it holds pretty much everything I want and carries well. Athough there are still times whether I wonder if I shoulda stepped up a size. Quality seems excellent though - 1 year of daily use and it still looks new (and I'm pretty rough on my things). Went for the newer logo. But there's been jokes a-plenty among friends and family anyway. It seems like I have just about everything in my nutsac.

Those are some interesting bags! Would you anticipate doing a review of the 4-max scout anytime soon? Or the rest of the cold steel lineup for that matter? I REALLY wanna know your thoughts on things like the Kris voyager or Lynn thompson ti lite.

I'm sure these are nice, but they are asking waaaay too much for a waxed canvas bag. I think mine was about $30 and it's held up for about 12 years now.

Where from and what brand? I might be able to find a similarly priced bag locally, but knowing which are junk vs which might last a decade+ would be a useful bit of info. Even if quality control sucks, for $30 I could buy 3 and keep the one that holds up!

Yeah I agree, $300 is too much. Unless there's a lifetime or long term guaranty and warranty.

So Mr Shabazz, I am a college student and pondering whether I should switch to a messenger bag from a backpack. I carry a couple textbooks, a couple spiral notebooks, and a 14" Chromebook. What pros and cons are there between a messenger bag and a backpack in this situation? I was looking at the Spyderco Envoy 13 btw

If you often have to walk with it for more than 5 minutes then backpack is much more comfotable. When I was in rush messenger bag always kept banging against my side.

If you're carrying textbooks and whatnot then you would probably be better off sticking to a backpack. Messenger bags start to feel overly heavy when the weight gets above 6-7 pounds.

Pros of a backpack: fits more. Cons of a backpack: looks dumb.

The only real advantage to messenger bags is the ease of access while walking, standing, etc. Otherwise, a backpack is much more comfortable (especially when cycling, which might or might not be applicable to you)

For what it’s worth, I’m a senior in college and have had both. The messenger bag is uncomfortable with a decent load as it just hangs on one shoulder. I have d to switch back and forth a lot. I wanted to like it, but the backpack is way more comfortable. It depends on your expected load and how far you’ll need to walk.

I would have no problem carrying a purse. I’ve always been kinda jealous of the ladies who have, as an everyday accessory, a place to store their EDC junk. So call it a man purse, call it a purse, I don’t really care...lol.

I think if I had to choose between pockets and a purse I would choose pockets, but both at the same time is probably the best option.

For a lot less money, I prefer the VANQUEST ENVOY-17 Messenger Bag... It has 22 compartments and is extremely durable while being made with USA materials... It does look a little "tactical" which I like... No one seems to care when I walk into a meeting with it... I have everything organized where I want it and it's one tough bag... Plus... No one is going to say you have a man-purse... or as Seinfield would say... a "murse"

I love my 13" nutsac... it's super-well made, I have the black so with the non-matching strap is less offensive. I agree that it's a bit small for my macbook pro 13" and I'd like it to also fit my 20oz water bottle. I'v talked to nutsac (lmao) about upgrading to the 15" and they're being accommodating. Great review

So I never cared to look at these before since the name alone sounds insecure to me, but how do you have a bag like this not have straps for pens and pencils to store in it? The insides barely look compartmentalized. It actually looks a lot like my $20 range bag in nicer materials. I’m kind of surprised Nick likes it so much. I guess he’s a sucker for good looks and build quality. But for that insane price it should not be lacking in necessary features. Edit: I did not expect to start ranting about a silly purse

My dad has one of these. He loves his sac. He loves his sac so much that he sleeps with it. But you wanna know who loves his sac more? My cousin. That's right my cousin loves my dads sac. Every time we go out somewhere my cousin just stares at my dads sac. It's is a truly amazing sac. The best part is the color of the sac. My cousin says he prefers black sacs, but my dad loves the regular color.

I have the 13. It is perfect for the iPad Pro, some earbuds, sunglasses chargers and a small notebook and pen. The quality is as good as my Filson briefcase which is a freaking tank. I agree on the pen slots! I would also like a key hanger like the Filson cases.
