I am 31 years old and do not like a lot of country. But...the one group that I could listen to all day long is The Oak Ridge Boys :) I grew up listening to them and my very first memory ever is being at an Oak Ridge Boys concert either in '84 or '85 :) LOVE THEM!!!

Oh always my favorite band in country and Gospel! Their harmonies together are just anointed that’s all. I was privileged to go see them in Portsmouth Ohio and they brought the house down! Love them all, may they sing until they die.

The OAKS stand TALL in my book. When they were at the offical announcement ceremony at the Country Music Hall Of Fame the year of their induction along with Grady Martin and The Browns they paid tribute to their Friends and fellow Entertainers The Statler Bros: for opening so many doors for male quartets and that showed their true CHARACTER. The OAKS deserve all the BEST. In our Hearts they will always be remembered as a driving force in Country Music's "GOLDEN YEARS".

GOLDEN TOOK OFF HIS HAT IN REVERENCE AND RESPECT TO GOD ALMIGHTY - I LOVE ALL THESE MEN - I WISH I HAD A FATHER LIKE ANYONE OF THESE WOULD BE A FATHER - I CAN IMAGINE THE COMPASSION AND STRENGTH AND COURAGE AND PRIDE AND SO MANY OTHER POSITIVE QUALITIES THAT THEY WOULD MOST LIKELY INSTILL INTO THERE CHILDREN AND FAMILY - I WROTE A PAPER BACK IN 1996 ABOUT THE EFFECT OF MUSIC ON EMOTIONS AND IT IS SO TRUE !! - MAY THE GREAT ARCHITECT PROTECT AND BLESS YOU AND YOURS ALWAYS THROUGHOUT ETERNITY !! - SO MOTE IT BE !! **

I met him years ago at a boot store in Nashville. He is that humble, down to earth and kind in person. I recognized him immediately but didn't let on, thinking he deserved to shop anonymously with no one acting like a groupie. Before we left he was asking advice on boots for an upcoming appearance. Wonderful person.

20:15 The baritone who has a low voice. Can easily a Bass in many groups/quartets.
@MultiKamil973 жыл бұрын
He's probably a bass-baritone but he just sings baritone parts in Oak Ridge Boys.
@WoodJack995 ай бұрын
If you didn’t know, you think he’d be the bass rather than Richard. Since the latter is the shortest as well as the only clean-cut one.

It is so sad that much of today's "country" artists are just rock star wannabes who think they're country just because they're wearing a Stetson, and singing through their nose.
