@@LondonfogeyI grew up with the words queer & gay, & I still use them for their original purpose, not for for what a certain set of the community now use them for, & a rainbow is still just a rainbow to me, I will use it for no other purposes. Anyway I am grateful to ofcom for teaching me some new words I didn’t know, I shall be sure to use them as often as I can 😂

It's stunning to think that your Government is happy to spend your hard earned taxes having something like this published. Who knows how many hours must have been spent thinking of all the possible rude words to include. The only good point is that it will increase everybody's vocabulary.

Magnificent - I heard this three days ago but have just stopped laughing enough to type this! OFCOM have really lost the plot here. How much did this cost the tax payer to produce this? All they have done here is give us a dictionary of abusive terms to choose from and be entertained with. Great song Dominic!

I'm just laughing because I can imagine some 1,000 years from now an archaeologist will dig out this pamphlet and there'll probably be whole radio shows, museum exhibits, . university courses dedicated to the offensive language of 21st century Britain. Historical dramas will contain as many of them as possible. Not to mention the reenactment scene and all the LARPers gallivanting around the countryside screaming "BELLEND!" at each other.

Fudge packer was there though not quite as direct admittedly as the wonderfully alliterative and still apparently allowed Jobbie Jabber. Maybe JJ is a bit regional to have made it onto a UK list? Does it have much currency outside Scotland? And shirt lifter made it on to the banned list? Despite the fact that shirt tails that might need lifting are rarely a feature of men's shirts these days and haven't been a major thing for many decades.

As a non-english speaker it is surprising how many of the words I know. It would be much more instructive if the list could give the meanings of these words so that I could broaden my knowledge and make sure I use these words in the proper context.
