So happy that these awesome people support the legacy of my favorite composer/muscian ever. I have been a fan of ELP/Emerson since I was 10 y/o. I am 59 now.

Kieth was so beyond. Him and Zappa are my favorite composers. ....that they could bring their concepts to fruition is amazing!

I saw the spinning piano show in Ontario speedway in 1973. It was the Brain Salad Surgery tour. ELP peaked that year. I was hit hard with his suicide. It’s always about money, the tour with Cozy Powell was a big show maybe he was in dept and had a moment of despairRIP Kieth

Nothing to do with money troubles, he had a disease with his hand called focal distonia, which is similar to carpole syndrome, causing enormous pain in the nerves. The pain was unbearable and would only get worse and in the end would make it impossible for him to play. The pain and this prospect drove him to end his life.

It's kind of a shame that Progressive music has gotten such a bad rap from critics who associate the outlandish stage productions with the music. ELP was guilty of overdoing the visual aspect of their concerts which played a big part in diminishing their impact on music.
