2 ай бұрынAfter a solid season in the discipline and reaction-time department, the OHL blew all of its goodwill out of the water with a frustratingly inconsistent final few weeks. Dan and Mike have some hopes for the off-season ahead when it comes to improvements to how the league dispenses justice and how it supports its officiating teams. Plus, increasing competition for the top 16-year old prospects should be turning heads at the league offices and the guys stick out their necks with some playoff predictions.

I generally agree with you on the how often does one bad call directly effect the outcome. Where the difference here is it isn’t one bad call it’s the entire “ feel “ of the game is often effected. Once you mentioned the Letang situation I went and checked out the game sheet knowing full well I was going to see at least one of four officials names on that game. No surprise my suspicion was correct. I’ll have to go back and watch that situation on CHLTV now but with all this talk of consistency I have a pretty good idea of where the feel of that game went bad and it likely wasn’t due to Al Letang.

Don't forget to take into account the likelihood of a league memo asking that such "abuse" not be tolerated. I think we were almost begging for this to happen. I hope some productive off-season meetings will help. And maybe it's time for a new breed of OHL official...
