Sunway Sitges International Chess Festival started yesterday, December 14th, in Sitges (Barcelona, Spain). You can find all the information about the event at its website www.sunwaychessfestival.com.
The main tournament that we are hosting is a 10-round Swiss Open Tournament (with 34 GMs) featuring GM Andreikin, GM Ivanchuk, GM Inarkiev, GM Sasikiran among other. There are also world number one players in their age group, like Praggnanandhaa, Nihal Sarin, Gukesh D or Raahil Mullick. By the way, Gukesh D. has his last opportunity to become the youngest GM in history if he scores his last GM norm at our event.
There will be one round every day, with no rest days. First 9 rounds will take place at 4:30 p.m. C.E.T., and the 10th and last round will be at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 23rd.
There will be a broadcast on DGT boards of about 30 games. You can find live transmission at www.sunwaychessfestival.com/re....
There is also a live video commentary in English, hosted by Anna Rudolf, with Daniel King today, Levan Aroshidze tomorrow, and Leontxo García from Monday, December 17th, after the great success yesterday with GM Miguel Illescas.

Hey Antonio, long time follower, love your content and personality. I used to watch your videos when I was 18-19 and i’m now 22. I am always impressed at how good your english is since you are from Croatia like many of my friends who don’t speak as well. This is not a chess related question but what resonates with you when giving a tip on learning another language? Your phrases and fluency in English amaze me as i’m studying Spanish and one day in the distant future hope to be able to speak a second language as well as you.

Bxe5 was a massive blunder costing Ivanchuk the equivalent of a piece. The computer evaluation goes from -1.2 (black is winning) to +1.3 black is losing. The move effectively ended the game. The only reason it was not resign on the spot was that Ivanchuk had a much better position to before the blunder.
