I've learned to always add liquid seaweed when water propagating my Monstera cuttings. I think this is the one best method to water propagate your Monstera cuttings. It has helped maximize my root growth when making more plants.
In my last video we compared water propagation with water, a pre-rooted pothos cutting in water, and with liquid seaweed fertilizer. While I didn't notice that any of these methods were significantly better with a Pothos; the Monstera is a whole different story. If you want to faster, longer, thicker, and stronger roots this might just be the one best method to propagate your Monstera cuttings.

Excellent video..BUT you didnt mention the strength of the Seaweed water....did you mix it according to directions on bottle OR did you dilute it??

Liquid seaweed helped my monstera adansonii rooted from a cutting propagation fast with liquid seaweed. I tested it against purified water. My water cutting is struggling even under a grow light so I decided to put it in liquid seaweed and water still waiting.

do you put everything in water? nood and roots ? or only roots? I have an albo and I really really really want to avoid rotting :O I'm using indole-3-butyric acid diluted in the water my plant is, is that okey?

I have a question for you. Can a monstera be kept in water without transplanting it to soil? I have tons of super big and healthy pothos all over my house living in water for more than 3 years now, it is perfect for me because im a flight attendant and I have to leave the plants home alone for long periods of time. Can a monstera live hapily in water like the pothos do? Thank you in advance. I love this channel :)

I think it's something worth investigating. I would probably use a lower concentration due to the higher fertilizer content.

Seaweed is by far the best product money can buy, but you should always buy it in soluble form and make the liquid on the demand only. Not only do you pay less in the end (instead of paying a lot for water...), the soluble product also doesn't degrade nowhere as quickly as the liquid product, so you always get the best quality. Important: only buy the highest quality soluble seaweed extract out there, and I know which product that is, but I'm not going to share it here, because then I'm going to sound like an infomercial guy.
