I'm a cradle catholic and I'm struggling with our pope and the leaders of mother church. This morning in prayer I asked " lord how can we expect someone to convert to Catholicism if I myself struggle with our church?" Then I stumbled upon your video! I fell to my knees in prayer, Father forgive me for being weak and having doubts! Thank you lord for Keith and Keith and new converts who's love of you give me great strength! And lastly this must have been very important because I've never had an answer to prayer this quickly! God is so good!

Hello my friend, you know even that the Pope is a man chosen by JESUS CHRIST he is still a sinner (we all are sinners), remember St Peter committed sins when he was with JESUS CHRIST but still JESUS CHRIST chose him to be his representant in this world, and even if the Pope makes mistakes that doesn't change that the Catholic Church is the only Church of JESUS CHRIST, EVEN IF WE LIKE CATHOLICS WE FAIL THE CATHOLIC CHURCH NEVER GONNA FAIL, JESUS CHRIST says that the devil will try to destroy his Church but will fail, JESUS CHRIST Church will be until he comes again

As a former Protestant I would describe their faith and way of living in Christ as an abstract view of Christianity. While I see Catholicism as a physical, human, and spiritual manifestation of Jesus teaching. It’s the living, present and real essence of Jesus’ church and how he wanted us to live for him and each other. I feel like Protestantism focuses on what Jesus said while living on earth instead of viewing him as a real-time living savior. Abstract vs Present

I have not even listened to this video yet but I've read some comments and I want to add one. I'm a convert to the Catholic Church from Judaism. I was converted by a dream. I fell madly in love with Jesus Christ. He has all the Power and all the Love. He won my heart with His Mercy. That was on March 12, 1990, between 7-8 am. All day I floated on Cloud 9. Wow, Jesus loves me. It was incredible. When I got home from work, I got on my knees and said, "Lord, I'm yours, body and soul. Do whatever You want with me." Then I asked Him to find me my church before Easter. I had no idea where to go, but I knew I couldn't trust myself to make a decision. I let the Lord lead me. He took me to a lot of churches, wherever I was invited. But it wasn't until Good Friday that He took me to my local Catholic parish church, where almost a year and a half later, I was finally received. Baptism, Confirmation, First Holy Communion. In between I did a lot of studying. I prayed the rosary. I made Holy Hours. I think I learned more sitting at the feet of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament than from all my reading. Did I have any doubts along the way? When I had questions I couldn't answer, I always went back to the Keys. Jesus gave Peter the Keys. Jesus did not give the Keys to anyone else. Anything I wanted to understand better, I prayed, and the Lord led me to the right books or documents or people. I have been blessed with so many good Catholic friends, teachers, and mentors. I have absolute confidence in the Teaching Magisterium of the Church. The Church has gone through a lot of turmoil, including once there were three Popes, and one time they even dug up a dead Pope and put him on trial, but the Church is still here, and regardless of all that, the teachings of the Apostles that came straight from Jesus have never been changed. Every other Christian church has changed things, but the Catholic Church holds fast to the Truth. Don't let anything shake your faith. Jesus is the Head of the Catholic Church and He's still in charge.

Hey Keith and Keith. Greetings from Indonesian fellow Catholics here. We started Church tradition here initially by the European Colonialist., predominantly Dutch, and in small part of time and place, the Portuguese. Of course The Dutch were predominantly Protestants, until the 18th Century, where the religious freedom is adopted within the Dutch Kingdom, and the Catholic Church gain Her end of formal persecution, and revive...so it is always started by men of tradition. And I am glad..There is always a Men of God...in His Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church

As a catholic can you please consider these questions: Why pray for the dead (everyone is responsible for their own salvation) Why believe in pur gatory (Jesu.s's shed blood on the cross was sufficient to atone for all sins if you repent and choose him).Jesus mentioned hell about 70 times biblereasons.com/hell/ There's only heaven or hell. Same with saints and saying ritualistic repetitive prayers like the rosary -👉Matthew 6:7👈 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. The 'our Father' is biblical, the rosary is not. Only Jes.us is infallible, perfect and worthy of all our praise. mary is lifted up as much as Jesu.s and our eyes should only be on him. I respect her for bringing Jesus into the world but only Jesus 🐑🩸🦁✝️hung on the cross and suffered and died an agonising death for our sins You need to be born again as adult or from age where you understand what sin is, a baby is pure and innocent so should not be ba.ptised into the faith or of they are it should be for like a naming celebration or ceremony. I know there are a lot of earnest Catholics but unless one is born again you can never get the understanding that comes from the Holy Spirit. That is why so many can't see how unbiblical 'some' of the catholic prayers are. Please read your bible and discover the full truth for yourself. @niamhdempsey The Hail Mary IS biblical. “ Hail Mary, Full of grace, The Lord is with you” are the words spoken to Mary by the Angel Gabriel when he appeared to her to tell her of God’s plan for man’s salvation and her part in it. We are so blessed she assented! “ I am the handmaiden of the Lord, Let it be done unto me according to thy word.” Gospel of Luke The next part of the Hail Mary is also taken directly from the Bible- “ Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.” These are the words, per the Bible, spoken by Mary’s cousin, Elizabeth, St. John the Baptist’s mother. Remember, after the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, Mary went with haste to her cousin Elizabeth because the Angel Gabriel told Mary that nothing was impossible for God, even her cousin Elizabeth who was thought to be barren, was expecting! When Mary approached, Elizabeth’s unborn child, John , later John the Baptist, leapt in the womb for joy! The rest of the Hail Mary is a simple prayer of intercession, “ Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen” Do you pray for others? Do you believe in everlasting life? Then why would we not pray for others when we get to heaven? God bless you as you ask questions and search for truth.

Also, Niamey, the mysteries of the Rosary are directly Biblical. As you meditate on the mysteries, you meditate on the stories in the Bible, The Annunciation, The Visitation, The Nativity, .... Jesus’ Agony in the Garden, Jesus’ Scourging at the Pillar, The Carrying of the Cross, etc..

@@NMDecember1 Where in the Bible does it say everything about Christianity has to be found in the bible? The bible itself says the Church is the pillar and bulwark of truth - 2 Tim 3:15. The bible is not the pillar of truth, the Church is. The catholic church was founded by Christ himself not your man made religion. Whole households were baptised in the book of acts. The centurion and his family, the jail keeper and his family and Lydia and her family were all baptised. A household is made up of spouses and their children and in biblical times was made up of three generations. The bible was made 400 years after the Church was established. When the early apostles evangelized there was no new testament because it did not exist as we know it today. How would they get Jews to recognise their messiah? Circumcision was the sign of the covenant between God and Abraham in the Jewsish tradition and males would be circumcised at 8 days old. How would you explain to a Jewish man that there is a new covenant brought by the messiah that is the fulfillment of the old covenant and then tell him they will all be saved except his baby? How is that better than the old? Anyway, Acts 2:29 I think expounds it a bit. We pray for the dead because we find that in the book of 2nd Maccabees. We are also told in the bible that the dead are more alive than we are; the book of revelation says they offer our prayers in Heaven and we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses(book of Hebrews) which is the communion of saints. Read the didache. It existed and was in use before the New testament.

Now, a Christian is not automatically "saved" for we must obey Jesus and His teachings. No such thing as "once saved always saved "; no such thing as "bible only"; no such thing as "faith alone". Those are man made heresies from the devil. Jesus built one Church upon Cephas (Aramaic means Rock and translated into English is Peter). This Church, His Bride, is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. Not those over 45,000 different separated denominations that don't even agree on their own beliefs. Who's your authority? Who gave the world the canon of the bible determined which books are God breathed? Whom did Jesus teach and open the minds to understand the scriptures? at 29:00 re relics...my house is of full of relics...relics of my own personal history: first baby tooth, daughter's first hair cut, favorite quilted pillow made by my mom, fishing hat of my father...relics begin at the personal level, a remembrance of someone we love. Given the magnitude of Christ...God made Man...why are we surprised that the first Christians loved relics? Then, as the first witnesses - the Apostles - died, relics became a tangible witness of the existence of Christ through the tangible evidence of his followers. Relics verified the existence of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John...and so much more. It took me a long time to answer my questions about relics. Today, relics make complete sense to me.

Even more ancient than the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Liturgy of the Hours is the Church’s official prayer, and the highest form of prayer after the Mass. It is a way of praying Scripture regularly throughout the day, particularly the Psalms. It mirrors the Jewish custom of praying at fixed hours, a practice continued by the early Church. There are numerous passages in both the Old and New Testaments that speak of praying at fixed times. It is beautiful and powerful way to pray in union with priests, religious and other consecrated persons, and many lay Catholics, throughout the world.

@@NMDecember1 so sure of yourself. I say all of the following with love. Catholics are the most Bible believing, because ya know, the church councils put together the Bible you know of today. The Catholic Church isn’t some church that hijacked the Bible. The Catholic Church, the church founded by Jesus on Peter, over centuries converted the sacred texts and scriptures into one book, the Bible. The rosary is biblical, the prayers are found in the Bible, but creating an easy method for people to pray them isn’t ok? Really? We pray for the dead because how are we to know the hearts of those who have passed? Only God can pass judgement, is it such a bad thing to pray for our fallen brothers and sisters? Why is that bad or against God? Would you consider it a crime to ask your friends to pray for you? Yes Jesus mentions hell many times, but pay attention to the context. He isn’t always meaning in the literal hell, and sometimes he is. It doesn’t say anything about there not being a “purgatory”. Don’t mistake purgatory for being a place as it not necessarily is, but we see it as a process to purify the heart. A process. Actually go to Catholicanswers.com and look up purgatory and you’ll see why we believe it. Yes Jesus’s sacrifice for us was sufficient alone, but why wouldn’t God have a way to more purify our hearts? You’re cherry picking verses for the sake of argument. I challenge you to do your own research instead of asking other people on KZfaq if you haven’t. Read the catechism, ask a priest some questions. Catholics are NOT “man made tradition heathens that use the Bible when it suits us”. We use the Bible in everything. The Bible is the basis of our liturgy, but where in the Bible does it say everything that God reveals to us has to be found in the Bible? Hope your quest for answers goes well, much love ❤️ God bless you

The entire Bible is based on the Catholic Church, because it existed first as a living Apostolic body which later preached the Word, later wrote letters, and much later canonized definitively a cohesive Bible of inspired books. A man- made church claims to be based entirely on the Bible, which is illogical and impossible, since the Bible is the written manifestation the pre-existent living Apostolic faith and Tradition. Wow

39:42 When I bring up St. Paul teaching orally, I more than once get "yeah, but it's not accessible to us, and it doesn't matter because we still have his written words" ... My approach is: * the idea that it at any point ceased to be accessible to us is contrary to Scripture, notably Matthew 28:16 to 20, Luke 24:17 (I think it was 17) and John Last-Supper-Discourse (chapter 14?) * while it cannot have contradicted what he wrote and we still have, it can contradict a misunderstanding of it, see II Peter "our brother Paul" reference ...

@@NMDecember1 wow thank you for your honesty and you perceive things in what you believe is true. But let me just ask you 1 question: why would believe the bible is even true when it came from the hands of the Early Church Fathers that compiled the Bible in the first place and they are the ones that taught the oral traditions to the Early Church before the Bible came out centuries later? To me it’s looks like you are contradicting yourself to say you believe the Bible that was compiled by the hands of the Early Church Fathers but you don’t believe the Early Church Fathers traditions of what practiced and taught the Early Church before Bible came out. You don’t make any sense to me because your logic doesn’t quite add up. How do you know that the Early Church Fathers wrote their own words instead of Gods words in the scripture? What makes you trust the wordings of the Bible when it was written and compiled by the Early Church Fathers that taught oral traditions firstly. Please go reevaluate what you are believing in as your logic does not add up or make any sense before you come on here telling me that I have been misguided or confused, hmmm looks like the confusion is in your own head, definitely not mine. You see I believe what the Early Church Fathers say about traditions because they were taught by Apostles the traditions and it says in the bible “ Hold fast to the traditions that have been taught to you by mouth” as there was no Bible yet until 300 AD. So not 1 priest back then had all the scriptures in 1 church because it the The Bible wasn’t compiled yet. So that’s why the Apostles had said that phrase to hold fast to traditions to the Early church by letters. If I didn’t believe in the Early Church Fathers oral traditions then I wouldn’t believe in the Bible either since it came from the same group of people. So tell me why do you believe the Bible is the correct word of God when it was compiled by the Early Church Fathers that also practiced oral traditions and taught it to the Early Church. Don’t you think before you talk? Or is your logic just not very logical?? I say this with love so you can have better understanding on the Catholic faith and why we believe what we do. Please research deeper and pray daily for the Holy Spirit to reveal more understanding to you since I believe you desperately need it. Since I can’t believe a word you say since your logic is just not logical enough for me or other Catholic for that matter. Please try to answer my question, I’ll be waiting. As someone who grew up as a RC I really admire Martin Luther for speaking out against the RC and forming a true bible based church. There is so much man made and false doctrines in the RC like purgatory, praying for dead, praying to mary and saints. It makes me angry that they thought it was ok to sell indulgences. There is so much pride in the church. I believe the pope is the false prophet, he is not alligned with the bible and seems to be very pro environment and one world religion. I have heard of some protestants converting to catholic faith and it makes me sad. I believe anyone can be saved irrespective of denomination but it's very hard to grow in a none bible preaching church.

I came to know more about Jesus through the word of God applied to my life. When I was dieting and had just lost my baby girl at birth the pastor read one of the psalms and also Heb 13 :5 helped me be lifted and trusted that the Lord loves me will help me and a year later the Lord gave me a baby girl. What a blessing. He was there for me through my loss and blessed my dear husband with another baby girl. God is good ALL the time. Give me reason to believe that rcc canon is wrong and protestant canon is right if it's so evident.* A number of them were written during the silent years, the time between the close of the o.t. and the beginning of the new. There was no prophet at that time. So there was no one to say 'thus says the Lord'. They are called apocryphal for a reason. Look up the definition of the word. They were rejected by many including all the way up to the reformation by at least one cardinal, Cajetan. He rejected the apocrypha because Jerome did. Jerome rejected it in part because they are not in the Palestinian canon, nor were they included in the temple scrolls. *Does every book of the Bible claims their own inspiration ? Even if it was the case there are other writings that do the same but we don't regard them as such. So how you decide which one are inspired ?* Other gospels written post apostolic age would be rejected because the writing could not have been supervised by or written by an apostle. Not that the post apostolic era was free of false gospels. There were many claiming to be a new gospel but rejected out of hand by those like Irenaeus who said those gospels were compared to what they were already in possession of and they looked nothing like what was handed down to them by the apostles. Irenaeus didn't need a council or some infallible magesterium. He simply compared what he knew to be authentic and rejected the rest. Its not complicated.

You have so many questions, I would strongly recommend that you go through Father Mike Schmitz's Catechism in a year podcast series. The surname derives from a toponym, Keith Marischal in East Lothian, possibly containing the Brittonic element cet _"woods, forest."_ If Gilbert Keith is ever added to your possible patron saints, he seems to have felt that, since he had a very deep connection to Jack the Giant Killer.

2 Kings 13:20-21 King James Version 20 And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. 21 And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet. This passage is often cited as an example of how the bones of a holy person brought life to someone who was dead. (I quoted from the KJV in case any of your listeners think that’s the only version worth reading.)

Why pray to mary? 👉1 Timothy 2:5👈 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Je.sus. Romans 10:17 - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of Go.d. Check this great website out too www.aocnetwork.org/ Please understand I say this with love and grave concern for your eternal soul nothing else. You can be a true Chris.tian irrespective of denomination (but it can be hard to grow in a non full-bible believing and teaching church) but you must be born again #john316

@@NMDecember1 you have left a long post with many questions. If you truly want to know the answers I suggest you acquire a Catholic Bible. Luther removed 7 books of the Old Testament so your Bible is not the Bible that was used for 3/4 of church history before Luther and which Catholics still use today. You will find purgatory in Maccabees, a book removed by Luther because he did not agree with Church teaching on purgatory. He wanted to remove a number of books from the New Testament too. Once you have a Catholic Bible (here it is online if you prefer mycatholic.life/bible/) if you look at the Catholic Catechism www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM the Catechism will explain everything that we believe and where to find it in the Bible and why we believe it. I am assuming you are sincere and really want to know what the Church teaches. I would read exactly what we believe and why and not make any assumptions or get your answers from those who are not devout Catholics. Thank you my friend for your interest. May God richly bless you.

Praying to dead Saints really bugged me with Catholicism. I even started to get sick. How do you know they are in heaven? I got the reply:the Catholic Church decides which saints are in heaven and which are in hell. 😮😮😮 I am still flabbergasted.
@davidcole333

I'm sorry you got such a poor response. By doctrine, according to the catechism, the Catholic church makes no assumption of who is in heaven or who is in hell. The church is adamant about leaving judgment to God. However, the Catholic church has an exhaustive canonization process. Look at it this way...if you have a loved one who lives a Christian life, then passes away, we who are left behind will assume they are in heaven. You are correct in the sense "how do we know?" No one really knows, but the Catholic church goes to exhaustive lengths to research every known detail of a potential saint before they are canonized. Also, the Catholic church believes that God is the God of the living, not the dead. We don't believe the saints are dead, but very much alive in heaven and are participating the great cloud of witnesses that surround us. Best wishes on your journey, follow the Holy Spirit and you won't go wrong.

@@davidcole333 Thank you for your response. I hear your explanation, however it is very hard to agree with. You are going with what man decides as being saved, humans look at the outside whereas God looks on the inside...thank you for your input, it was enlightening. Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you (John 14). No mention if heaven is ready for us, Stephen passed away, no mention of him in heaven. It has been allegedly said that God took 400 years preparing for Exodus, then another 400 years for the entry of Jesus. If Jesus is going to prepare heaven for us, it is clear that it will not be an overnight matter, it will take some time. When was heaven finished so we can occupy it?

If everything that Jesus did were written down, the world itself wouldn’t contain the books. See John 21:25 (I paraphrased it slightly.) “So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter” (2 Thess. 2:15). These two verses tell us clearly that sola scriptura is impossible, because not everything is in the Bible. In fact, you can be sure that there’s probably more of what Jesus said and did that was passed down from the Apostles by word of mouth than what was written down in the New Testament. The Church is vital because she safeguards the teachings that have been handed down from Christ to the Apostles to their successors and down to the present day.

Demon apparitions? You have blasphemed and you falsely accuse. 1. We do not worship anyone except God 2. We do not have idols nor graven images. Why do you ignore scripture? God commanded Moses to make a statue of a bronze serpent, and in the Temple statues of ox, lions, angels, etc. 3. Souls do not die, and as Jesus taught, "all are alive". Saints (includes martyrs) souls are in heaven right now and carry our prayers up to God, as do the angels. Read: ▪Revelation 5:8 (Saints carry our prayers up to God) ▪Revelation 8:3-4 (Angels carry our prayers to God) ▪Revelation 6:9 (martyrs in heaven now) Tobit 12:12-15 (Arch Angel Raphael heard prayers and healed them). 4. Jesus built the Church (Catholic) upon Cephas (Aramaic means Rock and in English is Peter) with the foundation of the Apostles. One Church 2000 years ago, not over 45,000 different ones. 5. Jesus promised to send the Advocate (Holy Spirit) to guide His Church (Catholic) to truth (1 Tim 3:15 and the gates of hell shall never prevail against the Church (Catholic) Matt 16:18. 6. You need to stop persecuting Jesus's Church and spreading your demonic hatred. Repent. Learn facts and truth.

"Who put the Bible together?" was the second question. The Roman Catholic Church did organize the Bible, but it certainly did not come from them. All the books of the Bible were written by Jews, except for the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts. It is certainly not a Roman Catholic book, which may account for why Roman Catholicism does not recognize it as their sole rule of authority. The traditions of God are wrought by God in the Holy Spirit; whereas, the traditions of men are wrought by man in his soul. The word of God divides asunder soul and spirit. Jesus never prayed the rosary, nor did He teach His disciples to pray to the patriarchs who were before them, nor did He read the New Testament. Jesus is the New Testament; the word of God who became flesh.

49:24 "vain repetitions" are not in the Greek or Latin or Syriac or Coptic ... or Douay Rheims. Greek, Syriac and Coptic all have stutter or stutter-speak. Vulgate and DR both have "use many words" ... The image this conjures up is someone who's nervous enough to stutter, but covers it up by holding a speech, really pinpointing to God why He should care to answer the prayer and not be angry for one asking and so on ... like you would approach a prison guardian first day in gaol rather than your dad. AND, true story, something the Romans actually did. We have providentially an example just from the year Jesus started preaching, in Velleius Paterculus ... "let's close this book on a prayer" ... and then read exactly how his prayer reads. It's not gory Satanic stuff. It's not by any means a mantra being repeated (and Romans half and half did confuse Hindus, Buddhists, Jews and Christians as basically the same religion), it's VP trying to rally the adherence of the gods to his programme for Rome ... a bit like Trump and Biden are going to rally some of youse ...

It is about God of course but it also states in the Bible that you should wonder off alone into the world without a flock supporting you as you never know what wolves are out there that are ready to attack the vulnerable lone soilders of Christ. God wants you to have relationship with people that have belief in him as that’s part of the joy of life and many blessings can come through friendship but you have to mingle with the righteous group that’s believing in the correct way of life, so that’s why people look for Church’s to befriend righteous people and worship together, as Christ says when there is 2 or more gathered in his name then there he’ll be in the midst of them. So there is nothing wrong with finding a good church to worship the Lord. You just want to make sure it’s the correct one. Catholic Church is the first true Church of Christ, cause without it you wouldn’t even have a Bible or you wouldn’t even know the Lord Jesus surely. The Catholics compiled the Bible and the traditions of the Early Church were passed on from the Apostles to the Early Church Fathers and then onto the Early Church. So there’s no need for you to believe the Bible is true if you can’t believe in the Early Church Fathers oral traditions since they are the ones who compiled the Bible together. Get your facts straight before opening up your mouth here amongst people that are much more educated and logical then you, otherwise your just embarrassing yourself. As I can see that your logic is not very logical. I’m sure many others can too that’s why they don’t reply to you, so please don’t feel like you’ve won any logical argument here. Research more deeply as i think you need it. GodBless 🙏🙏🙏
