Love your philosophy- COVID definitely put me in a bad headspace- so my project has been the interaction of pelicans with the fishermen @Dania Pier... golden hour and trying to stick with my 35mm

This is one of my favorite videos of yours! I recently discovered your channel and enjoy it alot. Your style is super cool (i mean -- a lifestyle in Vietnam?! How great is that)! Your work is beautiful and deep. I love that you are helping animals too. That means alot to me too! I am an aspiring documentary photographer, just learning. I want to learn to tell stories that can help others or humanity in some way. But taking a good, quality, powerful photo is key. I'm learning. Anyway, just wanted to tell how good this video is and super inspiring. And boy, your "Agent Orange" photos are jaw-dropping! Lastly, I think after a bit of research + review, the Leica MD262 or the M240 with the screen (I think it is ) is my dream camera. I love rangefinders + the simplicity of less bells + whistles and just the "pure" experience of shooting and using a quality camera. And yes, always the 35!!! So good. Anyway, just wanted to share some thoughts. Thanks again for all the inspiration! Can't wait to see more!!! Love from New York + Cali

I really appreciate such a kind and thoughtful message, thank you for taking the time to comment. I think you’d love that M240, if you get one let me know how it goes.

@@AskMOTT Thank you for your kind message back! I truly am finding SO much inspiration from you + your excellent channel! You have no idea! Also, I just discovered that Alex Webb uses a Leica M240 with a 35mm (of course) since his favorite Kodak film had been discontinued. Ha, At least I can say I have good taste. I always seem to "hone" in on "the best." Thanks again and I'm up for more videos :))

I am 53 years old now, only start to learn the basic of photography even my eyes start getting slower and less sharp to see the world... I just acquired my first Leica camera, Q, and secured a mentor of my yoga teacher who happens to be a photographer and who also use Leica Q for his professional work and after first session with him, he gave me an assignment which calls Project Yellow, i.e. to shoot anything Yellow and to think about what Yellow means and imply and also describe how these Yellow image make me think and feel.... and I am having fun of this project now as I realised there are so many 'yellow' around us! My eventual goal is to get to know the basic and hopefully one day I'll be able to use Leica 10-D just like you, and my eventual goal is to document great talents and leaders story whom I have been working with and whom i have get to know through my perspective and camera .... thank you Justin Mott for you inspiration and now you get me to think variable possible projects I can explore out of my own professional work and even better integrate with my current role ...

Thank you for sharing this with me, what a great story and certainly the Leica Q is an amazing camera. I'm excited to see where your "Yellow" project takes you and as for more project ideas, the world is your oyster. The key thing is to always be moving forward, always shooting, and evolving. and it sounds like you are doing that :).

Justin I would like to ask a question I use Leica equipment and am trying to determine the best post processing software and what do you use either Lightroom or capture one or something else and do you use an iPad thanks chris
@AskMOTT3 жыл бұрын
Hello Chris, I'd say if you are starting fresh use Capture One as their color tools are powerful. For me, I'm a creature of habit and I don't do a lot of post-processing to my images so I still use Lightroom.
