EXACTLY!!! I was so surprised ppl thought he came early. I instantly knew he was having a panic attack as soon as I heard him grunt and how she realized it and brought him out of it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.!!! He had a panic attack when she walked out of the door and he struggled grabbing the handle - remember the grunts then? This episode was raw and real and I am all here for it.

Danai definitely did her thing writing this epic episode! She could have taken the easy, obvious route of Rick coming back to his senses once he learned about RJ. But she took it much deeper than that. Because Rick really does take loss hard. Look at what losing Lori, then Glenn and Carl did to him. He went into survival mode and stopped really living. He was either going to kill himself or just survive only way he knew how with Okafor's mission. It gave him something else to focus on. But faithful Michonne excavated his fear and brought Rick back! Such a masterpiece! 👏🏾

I was waiting for your reaction! You’re my fellow Rick-loving ladies! 😊 We have waited YEARS for a good ol’ Richonne sex scene and this was the best one yet. It was so good, it felt like I was intruding. 😮 “What if I can’t figure out how to die all over again” pierced my heart like an arrow. And the cut away to Rick holding little Carl’s hand ripped my pierced heart out, stomped on it, put it in a blender, and hit “frappe”. RIP, my heart. If Andy doesn’t win an Emmy for this performance, I riot. I also riot if Danai doesn’t win a writing award. What a magnificient masterpiece of an episode. My favorite in all TWD.

Also, when you've known each other for so long in real life and know their on screen relationship like the back of their hand, it makes these intimate scenes come naturally.

I just hope he doesn't actually die at the end when he does find his family. That was his main purpose in season one and he referenced that on the bridge "I was looking for my family, I found them..." 😭😫 hope they don't do that to us. Oh, and Rick is looking hot as hell in this series! 😍 🔥

I hope not either. Cause I don't like how the music got darker at the end of him and her talking on the bed. I hope it only meant that, like, yeah, this is a breakthrough and a new push right now but it won't end easily, rather than a we're not gonna get a happy ending kind of warning. Seems like it'd be a massive betrayal of fan investment, especially after so many years and losing so many fans (after stuff like Glenn, Carl, general quality drops, etc.). People have turned up for this series, so I hope they don't let us down! The audience has been inundated with trauma, even already in this short series. We've earned something uplifting!
