He is a good teacher. Not so full of himself like many I have listened to. Being able to write well helps the trainee understand better what he or she is trying to learn. This is a trait every good teacher should have.

We left handed people have to be careful that we don't drag our hand through the ink or chalk, so it often improves our penmanship when writing on a board.

@@brandoncheek2597 I agree thatvwe can jerry rig it but just cant load up like a the actual machine could. I would like it to mix things up for max effort days. To take some load off the spine and back to allow for it to recover and what not.

@@stevenhewes1990 I would highly recommend you spend 100 bucks and buy an inversion table from amazon. I have that and a reverse hyper I spent 1100.00 dollars on. I love it but I was super surprised how good those inversion tables work at decompression for 100 bucks. I do not see any reason I will ever have to see a chiropractor ever again with those two machines. I think the inversion table works better then the reverse hyper.

Great! However i think that the biggest problem for people is that they don't utilize enough repetition. People try to lift heavier weights, and move quick without having any muscle mass to begin with.

Love your YT videos, you knowledge and the fact thay you want to share it. Coach, could you please clarify this topic: Reps for max effort method is 1 according to prof. Zatsiorsky, as you are moving maximal load. I understand that in max effort day in Westside/Conjugate you are using max effort method and submaximal effort method.
@WenningStrength
@WenningStrength 4 жыл бұрын
Maciej Szczudrawa I had personal access to zatsiorsky. He explained that 1 was based on Olympic lifting not general lifting or powerlifting

@@WenningStrength so max effort method for general lifting or powerlifting means 1-3 reps and for Olympic lifting 1 rep. Am I getting this right coach? In conjugate lifting we are talking about perceived max (not training nor competitionm max), right?

Hi Matt. Great video. I've been wondering about the dynamic effort method for some time. It seems it's only somewhat effect for people who are already strong and explosive. And even then, the effectiveness is in doubt. Certainly for your average person, dynamic effort is most likely fairly useless. And I have read that even some lifters at Westside have dropped it altogether.

Jason Marden your issues is that your frame of reference is probably too short. I had to have it in my program for more then 5 years to know it’s importance

@@WenningStrength Thanks for your reply Matt. As we know some people have a higher percentage of fast twitch muscles. Perhaps dynamic effort is most effective for those people. I'm really enjoying your videos. Keep it up.👍

Is it better to do all the max effort/dynamic eff./Rep. eff work each in 1 session or to mix it up like Lower max eff. + upper dynamic eff.? When training 2x/week, is it possible to combine dynamic and rep effort?
@spencermariano8454
@spencermariano8454 4 жыл бұрын
There are lots of different ways to mix it up some people do each method in a 3-6 week period some people start a workout with Max effort then move onto sped or hypertophy working sets ,.It depends on your strength levels too if you don't mind me asking what are your lifts?
