Try updating your pc, and Installing latest BIOS of your system type, that helped me. and make sure to delete temporary folders and run It as administrator because, when you open anything It stores all junk files into temporary folders and it'll slow down your computer and cause it to lag ingame.

I have a pretty decent gaming laptop and was working fine for a few months. But later, it got fps drops like 130fps to 30 fps and then return to normal and then it happening again. I tried all the things you mentioned and still didn't work. Then later, I found out that the problem was with the gpu fan. It was covered with many fur of my cats along with dust from tables. Then I got the repair done, and with this settings you mentioned, my laptop was finally working well...Thank you so much and I hope this helps atleast some people.

- Fullscreen Windowed is worse than Fullscreen as you get a 1 frame delay (V-synced by DWM) - In practice, the game is often CPU bound and changing your graphics may have no effect on framerate. You can check the CPU (game) and CPU (RHI) time. First one is time spent on CPU, second is GPU. If first is higher, you're CPU bound. - Don't disable blood -- it provides valuable hit feedback.

disabling blood is better it shows sparks instead of blood which makes it easier to spot if you hit a head shot or not

Idk why, but my laptop gets 144 FPS on Episode 1. Now that we are in Episode 2, it can barely go up to a 100 FPS Edit: After a lot of troubleshooting and diagnostics (JK, I’m just watching and researching), I found out that it was my hardware that was doing something wrong. I got my laptop after Valorant got released, maybe about a month. I got interested and started playing after I got it. It has been a year since I have been playing the game, which is the normal time that I should re-apply Thermal Paste (Another indication you should do it is when temperatures are at 90 when idle). After re-applying it and upgrading my RAM, I now get 250+ FPS 🥲👍

Trust this is the onl fps boost guide you will need, I got somewhere near a 40 fps boost where I would get 90-110 frames when shooting, now a consitent near 130 frames and 140 frames while playing and 220-230 when not

I don't usually comment but this is hands down the most useful guide you'll find on this topic. I run a decent laptop but it was a shitty experience, screen blacks out, super lag, even though my net runs pretty fast. Used this video as a guide and boom, 20ms and never rising to 30ms. I already did everything said in this video almost all alone so I guess I'm an optimization pro at this point I even went further and edited the game files to drop the 3d resolution lower than it's normally possible. Now the game looks like a big pixel but I'm still running it at only 15-20 fps :(

Me watching this video when I get 60 solid frames on my laptop and play with v-sync.

theres still a difference on getting higher than 60 even if your refresh rate is 60hz

@@arbaazspk6013 have you ever tried googling lol Correct me if im wrong, v-sync matches your frames to your monitor's refresh rate, basically, people mostly use it for getting rid of screen tearing, for the price of input lag

after valorant completly broke for me i could barely get over 30 fps to my standard 60 but thanks you SO MUCH for making this video i may not be able to make 60 fps but a good 50 is amazing thank you so much
