So...I have a Vohland story, I started racing in 1988 at Sacramento raceway on 80's, and would always watch the pro class like most do. They had a wooden fence around the track and I lost my mind watching Tallon and Tyson use the wall as a corner to skip to singles on the track. That was the moment i knew i was going to try to get good at the sport. I would see the two brothers riding a local spots like E-street and Hangtown was right down the street from my house. I even bought the stupid Bieffe helmet, and wore Yoko jerseys because i idolized the two brothers. So here is the cool part, one day our refrigerator broke, so my parents called Sears for a repair. The guy who showed up was actually Tallons dad, he takes a look around the house and see's pictures of me racing dirt bikes. He says "does your son ride?" My dad was like yeah. He was like "really my son's race too." it happened to be Vohland SR. The last time i watched Tallon race was at the USGP at Budds creek, he might of even won a moto..I forget the year...99 maybe? Love seeing his son carry the torch and am excited for the next few years.

I watched one do the triple at sac raceway & copied it on my 85 cr250, was a rush. 250 intermediate.

@@frankweathersbee2553 Nice...they are really good people, Tyson and Tallon. I loved watching them ride. Tyson was better back in the late 80's/early 90's. People forget they both have supercross wins as brothers.

@@dc_5sauce ⁠ Did you guys ever ride the old Mammoth Bar track in Auburn in the early 2000’s? I remember seeing him down there quite often in one of those white moto vans. I must have been in 8th grade or so and my brother and I along with another friend went up to him and asked him for his goggles and he gave em to us. We were so stoked! It was so cool especially since he had that Pro Circuit ride. Loved seeing a local guy that actually made it as a top pro.

@@Ryno927 ohh man that is cool..no i never made it to mammoth..i always wanted to race there. I always watched it on tv. i did get to ride with both brothers on local tracks...and they always treated me good. I like to watch old videos of them cmc golden state nationals....like Carlsbad...We rode E-street Marysville track..it was sand huge berms...like 8 feet tall.

@@dc_5sauceOh yeah Estreet was the best back when it was free. Especially after the AMP/GFI race series came through they built everything up and it all deep sand. Nowadays they put clay on all the lips.

Tallon and Tyson were both Super fast!!! Great memories!!! I raced with CMC, CRC and all of the series throughout California. Awesome times!!

Tallon&Max are great people they are from our part of NorCal and are so friendly at the races locally or the national level Max has blessed my grandson with signed jerseys several times. Won’t be long till he wins some races ❤🙏🏁

Tallon was one of my favourite mx riders because he was so skillfull on the bike and when he was in gps he was always one of the top few on the podium giving his all 👏

I never pulled harder for any rider than I did for Tallon. I would literally find myself standing up in my living room two feet away from the tube cheering him on. He was blazing fast. Plus, he was the most honest rider ever during post-race interviews. Awesome episode.

Super cool to hear more of the history. I have his race jersey from Southwick that year in 99 on the FMF team. Didn't realize that was his only year with them.
