Eminem, widely regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time, has earned a reputation for being unapologetic throughout his career. Known for his controversial and often explicit lyrics, Eminem has consistently pushed boundaries and challenged societal norms through his music. However, there was one instance where he chose to apologize...

"Who took home the W?" This is what's wrong with a LOT of things today. NOBODY took a "W" or an "L" in this because it wasn't a competition. They're two adults. Two successful artists. They had an argument and then solved it. Not every situation in life is about winning or losing.

I really don't think Tyler was "two-faced" at all, just because you see someone as an idol, doesn't mean you have to like every single they do, I think out of his love for Eminem he made those tweets and I really don't see it as two-faced to dislike an album, he doesn't have to worship every album just because he idolises Em

I know for most of my life, I would immediately get defensive when receiving criticism and it wasnt until my mid 30s (I'm 42 now) that I learned to receive criticism with as much grace as I would receive praise. It was one of the most difficult character flaws I've ever learned to overcome and I think that's because I had to be completely honest with myself and unlearn reactionary behavior that was deeply rooted in me from a young age. Once I got there, I realized that the insight gained from criticism is just as valuable as insight gained from praise. Once you apply that correction to the specific aspect being scrutinized, it will result in positive growth. I think Tyler is such a big fan of Em and has so much respect for him that he didn't want to do him the disservice of giving him biased, dishonest feedback. For me personally, I respect honesty and uncompromising integrity in someone's feedback or crtique; it's genuinely helpful and impactful for someone who strives toward positive growth. Now, for someone like Eminem, I can only imagine that struggle, to learn and grow, amplified by 1000%. The fact that he realized his mistake and acknowledged it is impressive and extremely uncommon for someone at the top of their profession. Much respect for both Tyler the Creator and the G.O.A.T. Eminem.

He would draw from the comment what Tyler meant and not take offence to it Eminem then TOOK OFFENCE to it and dissed him up and down on a song Again, being MAD SENSITIVE. Which is fine as long as you accept it. It takes a real man to accept what he is despite what he portrays Eminem backtracked and then gave a sob story about ‘friends backstabbing him’ when that wasn’t the case at all Ergo, tryna garner sympathy for him basically throwing a temper tantrum on beat Again, had he simply accepted it like shit maybe I jumped the gun, it would’ve all been fine It’s like if I bitch slapped you then when we meet the next day. i loved walk on water, it showed how human eminem was, honestly i think it was fans being salty that he sobered up, became way more complicated and technical with lyrics, to where he started seeming inhuman and the fans lost relatability, he changed from being a hood rat to a chilled out mellow man, dude just grown up while his fnbase didnt due to their atmosphere, and life comlications, it hurt his fans, they couldnt relate to who he became, and became salty, but i appreciated his change as if he didnt, he would of literally died, its a blessing he is still here making music, people need to learn to appreciate what we still have rather then dwell on the past, my favorite album is honestly relapse as its the last time we got wild crazy gangster slim shady, but i still love his new stuff as his skill is unbelievable , he makes great music now and back them, people just get too attached to one thing and wont let it go, feeling like the newer is an imposter trying to replace what they hold dear. , mad respect to both forms as both were masterpieces whether old fans want to accept it or not,

When I go back and listen to his older stuff and compare it to his newer stuff, it's blatantly obvious that Eminem has grown as an artist and shows increased technical skill, wisdom, and intellectual nuance. When you're, not only the best at what you do, but appear to be superhuman at times, people will try to find flaws that may or may not exist; either out of jealousy or inability to comprehend. The intellectually challenged human beings of the world, unfortunately make up the majority of human beings of the world.

I think Tyler the creator clearly had a strong impact on Em and that Em respected him. So when Tyler did this yeah it hurt but I think sometimes seeing past the hurt and looking back at it, I personally think Em would thank him for pushing him to do better because it worked. Em definitely should have apologized for that slur he knows it wasn't even a good or legit comeback and he was trying. Can't hate on Tyler for speaking the truth.

I dont think the issue was him saying the song/album was bad. I think the issue was that instead of it being recieved in a DM or a phone call, saying hey man I don't feel this. It was instead repeatedly put on social media. If your boy is messing up you're going to sit him down and have a talk about it. Not post on his facebook or instagram.

I won't lie, I actually hated Revival whenever it first dropped (mind you I was 12 at the time of it's release). But after taking a random notion to listen to it, I actually took somewhat of a liking to it after a few years (when I was 16). Tyler wasn’t two-faced by not liking his stuff. Just because you’re friends with someone doesn’t mean you have to like everything they make and doesn’t mean you can’t say something about it. It’s moronic to pose the question “does this guy deserve to be called a slur for not liking a song?” Of course he doesn’t deserve it it’s a song, you’re not required to like songs, and the songs he disliked were widely disliked, so it’s not any kind of betrayal.

its not about the content tbh, his political freestyle was trash from a rap theory standpoint altogether. the entire rhyme scheme was weak when you break it down, very short repeated rhyme setups with no evolution in the entire thing. Oh you THINK THAT’S the issue people had with Revival?😂😂😂 oooooh buddy buddy BUDDY! That ain’t it chief The reason it’s hated on is due to the PRODUCTION. Which, in turn, severely affected Eminem’s lyrics. Was the message there? Yes. However, due to Eminem playing off what he got from the terrible production and mixing, people couldn’t hear the message And at that point, it doesn’t matter what he was saying. Cuz to anyone outside of Eminem’s fan base, it’s UNLISTENABLE Nobody complained about Eminem attacking social issues In fact he should do that MORE. The problem was the production which in turn affected the lyrics. Em writes not only to be complex, but to play off the feeling he gets FROM the beats If you rap over terrible production, what do you think happens to the lyricism when you’re playing off of that? Kamikaze had a ton of the production that woulda changed the Revival album for the better

A few people iterated the fact that Tyler seeing Em as an idol doesn't grant Em cart-blanche to make whatever project and have his fans lick it off the floor. Tyler genuinely respects Em and all the tweets shown in the video never said "Em, YOU'RE trash", they only called the song/album trash or bad or not the same. It's Tyler basically saying "Bro, I KNOW FOR A FACT you have it in you. You've done it before. I KNOW you can do it again." It's the delivery that could be called into question. As to who won? I liked some of the songs on Revival because they were human as fuck. It's easier to appreciate the artistry in a project without the bias goggles of being a long-time super-fan used to one style. Anyone who hated Walk on Water either isn't an artist and can't relate ipso facto isn't the target audience for it, or is an artist but a narsisistic one. In a profession, any artistic profession, audible or visual, if you don't believe you're the best you'll never be the best. If you don't understand the pressure that comes with, famous or not, then you don't need to be knocking that track. That track hit me HARD. Well, Eminem never apologised for nothing to noone. What he said in that interview with Sway was that he was angry for what Tyler has been saying against Eminem and that album, and since he never expected Tyler to make fun of Eminem's work, he was in dilemma. Hence, he said what he said. Infact, Em has always praised Tyler for his creativity and work since the beginning. He didn't like/wanted spiting bars against Tyler, but had to do what he did in that song because of Tyler's double role and standard. He never apologised, nor he said SORRY. He just made it clear why he replied Tyler in his song. That's it !

Even when he tries the social political stuff, it never hits you like a Kendrick or J Cole track would. I still enjoy a good bar by bar breakdown of any new song Marshall drops, but that's all I listen to... Just one time for the "wow" and then move on to anything else 🤷🏻‍♂️😔 I don't think Em needs to do it differently.
