54:54 I think the same is true with jobs. Got a job. It gets shitty. I walked away. People are astonished by this. Too many people with mortgages or student debts or have been manipulated into not walking away. I can live minimally anyway. So I could walk away politely, leave the building, go get lunch, take it home, eat it, take an afternoon nap and never look back.

Yep. It's a core value. Same as with chicks. If you keep your work/career value high, know you might have to leave on a moments notice, keep options open, you'll have the ability to walk away from any situation that turns sour. And maybe snag a nice vacation to a Thai Summit inbetween too!

A few years ago, I was at home watching the Raptors vs 76ers playoff game. My ex walked in the house and asked, "hey, are the Cowboys playing today?" Thanks to the Ronin wisdom, I was able to see the truth and walk away. I ran into my ex who's now 🤰. I asked, "You think the baby will be a Cowboys fan like your BF?" In which my ex replied, "How do you know my BF is a Cowboys fan?!" I promise, this Ronin knowledge puts us a few steps ahead of the average Joe.

I did this exact thing with my first relationship. I left a country to get distance and truly end a bad relationship. It worked. I feel so much better, and I don’t care how it affected her, I couldn’t any more. She was not a good person, either.

However after we were married and had a child I was not willing to, even though she showed me absolutely no respect. I am ashamed to say I stayed in a sexless and as you say loveless marriage for far too long. You are one wise gentleman. I like your point on courage also. A man pulled a knife on me recently and I didn't flinch. It was a good sign.

She put you in an impossible situation. It’s just not right. Forced your hand. Didn’t even have the courtesy to do it herself. Had to both wrong you then make you leave which makes you the bad one. So crazy. Be easy on yourself. It’s all good. A man has to do what a man has to do.

This is such a great episode! It's so true, the best times in my relationships were where I was leaving or about to leave. Before I was redpill, the only thing that saved me from getting trapped in commitment and ruining my life was just being so autistically stubborn about not getting married. Grandmothers “I want to see you married and happy before I die!” Grandpa and mother later muse, “you know your grandmother loves you so much. And she really wants to see you happy with a family. Her father, “Shawn here’s the down payment for that house on the bluff. Don’t worry about paying us back! Can’t take it with you!” Meanwhile she bones your brains out, cooks, wears a schoolgirl uniform and even asks if you want her to wear it while shopping. Sans underwear of course! Your boss stops by, “Shawn you know we’re a family oriented firm. You got a good one there. If there’s anything I can do to help you just let me know!” She lets you convert the extra room to a workout, sex dungeon. Wears a butt plug and leash at all times. Calls you master. And on and on. Anything to get that ring !

This is as good advice as it gets. Walking away from my wife after 8 years of marriage when we had 2 small kids and never speaking to her again is one of the most empowering things I have ever done. That was 10 years ago. I didnt want to do it for a variety of reasons but my self respect was all but gone and I am very confident. I dont miss anything about her other than her giant breasts. Its sad that a womans physicality and our desire for kids makes us do stupid things. Women are expensive especially if you want a family and they suck it all from the man who gives them things. Imagine the things women do to men that make them literally walk away from their family and never speak to the mother of their kids again. Its still hard for us to leave. Men do not disrespect women the way women do men. If I had stayed longer I would have been seen as even weaker than she saw me even thought I was highly successful in all aspects of life. More men need to do this. Once you do it the first time, you can walk away from women quicker and easier. Its like women I meet since I left my wife know I am the type of guy who can walk away so that makes me someone they wouldnt date. Its all about control and walking away is really all we have as men. Women rarely date men they cant control. Thanks for this video.

I did similar, and had a similar story, 5 children, still see them regularly, also made it clear to the ex she can’t speak to or ask me for anything ever again outside my legal obligations.

Having easily available options is almost always the wise choice. The obvious exceptions are having a child, buying a house, having an irreversible medical procedure done and choosing a career. Even with those there is a way to choose and still allow yourself some room to adjust as reality unfolds. In the old days men were expected to always follow through, do what they said, be consistent. However, today these have been weaponized by women who guilt them into making and following through with decisions that are not in their interests. It's a complicated topic for sure but knowing that there might be a way to leave yourself wiggle room is wise. At summits, in person, guys are always brainstorming wise ways to do this. This is very valuable to other guys and myself too. There is always something I haven't thought of

In this day and age of "me also" I think it is important to try and manipulate the situation to where she leaves you and let her think she "won" and taught you a lesson. An angry jilted woman is more likely to make false allegations.

I feel like you should do an episode on language as the ultimate bottleneck of wisdom. This video seems like it came out of a deep understanding of the reality that you simply cannot truthfully communicate certain deep insights, the kind of insights that I think you tap into in your stories. Like when you mention how you have a limited number of breaths, and I had to pause and do a double take because I was thinking of that exact same thing as an explanation for the way you are. Exactly. To implement the rule, you need to learn pickup. Options give you the backup to implement a rule that is very difficult to follow through with. Even if you have many other chicks. It's still not easy. You need to do all you can to be the man who can actually be a man
