Meru National Park is very unique as it is much more vegetated than the rest of Kenya. This can make animal sightings a little bit tricky but there is nothing impossible with one of Elewana's experience safari guide. We saw everything from elephants to lions, giraffes and even rhinos.
The camp itself is everything you could expect from the Elewana Collection. Beautiful tents built into the mountain with tone of natural features, outside bathtub, patio overlooking Meru National and of course some delicious food and caring staff. And let's not forget their amazing pool and suspended bridge!

When pronouncing Meru, stress both syllables e.g pronounce the first syllable Me as in medicine and the second syllable ru as in rules - Me.ru. There you have it. Actually, Trace was pronouncing it right.

Meru is a hidden gem. One time the most popular park but now it is largely forgotten. My family is from that county and I've been there countless times but only visited the park during Covid time. like you said it's off the beaten track so you enjoy being one of the few around plus you get to see so much in a short time. next time take the drive around the mountain to there it's very scenic
