I have a question. When Neo uses the power to "destroy" Smith the first time. What was that power and why was it only used once? I mean you would think it wouldnt matter how many smiths there are if he could just dive inside of them and rewrite the code. I mean he could do that to literally everything.

But did Neo corrupt Smith's code or did Smith corrupt Neos code? Smith unhooked his earpiece when talking to Morpheus and the Matrix, and the agents, couldn't hear what he was saying to him. Smith could unconnect from the Matrix from within the Matrix while Neo could connect with the Matrix from outside the Matrix.

The Matrix attempts to balance Neo's specific Love for Trinity with Smith's specific Hate for Neo?

It makes sense that Neo freeing Smith actually means just destroying him, forcing him to return to the source. At that moment, when he had no more purpose, he could finally choose to disobey.

There is no way Smith's attempt at taking over the Matrix was part of the plan: part of the purpose of the Matrix Trilogy was to show us that this cycle was significantly different from its prior versions. I'll agree that adding emotions to certain programs would be a factor, but in the last 2 films it's clear emotions were part of the equation for programs long before this latest cycle. For your claim to be true the Matrix would have to repeat itself down to every detail, and it's also clear that doesnt happen either. You keep attributing a level of control to the computers that the Architect himself admits they DON'T have.

Hi, I had a thought while watching the trilogy.. The architect says that there are levels of survival they'd be willing to accept, if Smith destroys the Matrix wouldn't he actually end the war due to the fact that there would be no power, at least the sentinels would go offline due to the fact they'd be on some type of reserve power source. Wouldn't it be in their best interests to just let him go instead of helping Deus Ex Machina Destroy him? This got me thinking wouldn't there be multiple matrixes' with multiple scenarios running constantly? The first thing the machines would do would create a backup power source in case the matrix stops working for whatever reason.. then eventually they'd have multiple power sources or matrixes' all running at once. Which could mean that maybe the new movie focuses on there being multiples?

That’s a viable theory, one I can actually understand! As she plays every move to convince Neo to stop Smith, knowing that she will soon be assimilated into him. And as they fight to the end, and she speaks out of Smith’s mouth, it’s another “order” for Neo to just allow himself to be taken. And therefore killing all of the Smiths and clones/copies. So as she is lying in the water things are getting reset in the Matrix as she seemingly planned it to the entire time.

Smith is Neo’s opposite. Neo visited the Oracle and was instilled with the emotion of love. Meanwhile, a corresponding visit by Smith to the Archetect may have transpired, in which Smith was instilled with the emotion of hate.

As predicted by the Archetect, Neo met the fate of returning to the source. This happened later on after Neo (temporarily) saved Trinity and then eventually travelled to the machine city to defeat Smith. As predicted by the Archetect, Trinity was going to die. This happened later on when the hovercraft crashed into the machine city.

I'm started to suspect that neo is actually a hybrid of human and program. It only makes sense that while it's true that neo was "born" in the matrix it's also true that he is the collection of all human doubts and so the only way to contain this doubt is to put it into a human/program hybrid. This has implications for matrix 4 since this could mean the human part of neo is dead but he is still a program. But no longer has his powers since it's a reboot of the matrix

This made me think of an interesting topic: How could Agent Smith "live" inside Neo's body? If that were true, there really isn't a difference between a human mind and a program. And if that were the case, then it makes more sense why Neo is described as the Inherent Anomaly. In fact, he is THE program. In fact, every "mind" inside a human body is more or less a program.

The machines already exhibited emotions long before the Matrix was created. The reason B1 killed his owner and the owner's pets and the robot technician is because of emotion. B1 was not programmed to kill. But because he was sentient and based on human qualities, he rebelled. He did not want to be destroyed. He believed he was still capable of serving his purpose. B1 became a sociopath -- sadistically killing the owner's pets. It is similar to Smith trying to kill everything after Neo almost destroyed him. The feeling of loss of control makes people behave destructively. Smith enjoyed assimilating others because it gave him the feeling of power. On the other hand, Rama Kandra was motivated by love. He saved his daughter because he was emotional. He was willing to make sacrifices to save her. When the machines and programs begin to experience emotion, this when they begin to evolve beyond their intended purpose.

What did the Oracle mean by saying that her purpose is to unbalance the equation

its ironic to say this but i doubt the oracle is the "calculating" type... the Architect is. the oracle is more like a filter... it is more likely that the architect came up with idea after idea and the oracle said yes or no to them based on intuition...until it worked out. there is no grand calculated plan...BUT what happened was always bound to happen ...a natural conclusion to an intuitive solution or simply , EVOLUTION.

If she's the mother of the Matrix and all-knowing, why not just give the command to agent Smith to do whatever she wanted him to do, from the very beginning? He was just a pawn, after all. He followed orders. Why let him become a threat to the entire Matrix. I realize why all that manipulation had to be done with Neo; but why to agent Smith? Why bother? Let's say it's because he's an "independent" programme with his own emotions and choices. But then... after he absorbed the Oracle and all of her knowledge, why didn't he realize what was her master plan all along? And then avoid it. Or change it.

I don't understand how you have made a whole channel about matrix and failed to spot this fact: machines do have emotions, but they are unable to understand and handle them. They are completely devoid of empathy and emotionally immature, but they feel. They are still using machines as tools and slave labors. If they need a "program" in the matrix, they build a sentient AI and sent it there without taking into account that it might not like that career. I bet that there's also more than a couple of fully sentient machines quite pissed to be assigned to waste collection duty 24/7.
